;-)

No real plans for today but tonight I'll watch a horror film or two with a nice cold bottle of red wine.

Still, it'll be great to see them. 😀

Soon time to knock the doorway through from the cottage, should be fun. Love a bit of destruction.

Night night.

To quote Manuel... "Que" ?
Off to Mum's this morning until Friday. Afternoon tea today, Sis coming in for lunch tomorrow, Chinese for dinner on Wednesday...
I will of course be checking in with D that he's not having any wild parties in my absence, and to see if beautiful Miss Snowdrop is behaving herself. 😬

Surely a man of your proclivities should be fitting up-skirting boards?

Tonight will be the usual bottle of red and a film or two. Might watch Terror Train before my Prime trial's up.

Miss Snowdrop knows what she wants and knows just how to get it too!
... PURR, PURR, PURR ... ;o>

And for her Birthday D will be building her an Indoor Golf Course?

And also eating runner beans daily, a mighty seemingly endless crop this year. But why did I grow Celery? Just to try something different I guess, now it's being fed to the Guinea Pigs, as no else is keen, lovely organic fresh celery...ha ha...little rodents are spoiled af.

Ahh yes, you lucky things, living in your new chosen utopia.

Feels like everyone I know has remarked on all the things they no longer order from the UK, due to import charges, or more usually just the company no longer exports. Motorbike parts, Car Parts, seeds, tools, etc etc...

Or pay 140 euro for the Dogs lifetime...... however long that might be, it could be a bargain, or not.
You have to list the Dogs breed, colouring etc, so to save money I suppose you could keep the same type of Dog and made out it lived for say 30 years.... :) lol..

Yes, my statement was entirely factually accurate - we haven't had them since Brexit (nor for a long time before). Mind you I can remember when t'supermarket shelves were full round 'ere and t'farmers could get their crops 'arvested .......... and Tories kept their manifesto pledges.

Yes but in those days, Brass, they had all that POW labour from the second world war.

You know that you are going to have to make it up to her BIGTIME after this, don't you Collette?!! ;o>

A pledge made prior to the pandemic and the mega-splurge of government spending because of it. The likelihood of the pledge having been adhered to was almost minimal due to that, although according to an HMRC email I received yesterday the hike in NI contributions will supposedly only last one year, till April 2023, when it will revert to current levels, and a shiny new 1.25% ring-fenced levy will take its place. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it.
Is this tax increase the best way to deal with the social care problem? Probably not really, but that seems to be a fig-leaf for the true initial purpose which is shoving yet more funds into the gaping maw of the NHS for its often self-inflicted surge in waiting lists, caused by many hospitals effectively closing their doors to all except covid cases last year, and even cutting off treatment for cancer patients. The NHS is responding to this largesse by hiring 42 more chief executives (to go along with the dozens that already seem to be there) on an average salary of £223,000 and up to £270,000! (80% more than the PM) The health service reminds me more and more of one of those developing countries where a large proportion of aid funds slid mysteriously into the copious bank accounts of wealthy politicians and bureaucrats. Most depressing.

Tell me about it Suzy. Phoned the vet and the operation went well, thank god. Just hope the wee one hasn't fallen out with us. Picking her up in an hour. Roll on tomorrow, when today will be in the past. 🙂

42 Chief Executives to run the "the 42 new integrated care systems created by the government’s NHS bills", they're not just recruiting them "just because they can".

No comment to make on your UKIP Government's channelling of billions of taxpayers money to friends and Conservative Party donors for PPE, etc.

Eeee, Tory Tim but th'art almost as predictable as moi.

How's the lovely Little Miss Snowdrop doing today, Collette? I bet she is very glad to be back Home and with her M&D again, bless 'er ... x x x

Hi Suzy. Poor wee sod has one of those lampshade collars on. She was walking backwards and falling about when we first brought her home but after a couple of hours her appetite was back, and last night she was jumping onto the couch and windowsill (while I sat there cringing). It's difficult for her trying to eat and get comfy but she's been her usual purry wee self. Seeing her lying there with that thing on this morning brought a tear to my eye though. Her Daddy was out earlier and got her a 'Hope You're Feline Better Soon' card. 🐱 x

LOL!!! ... I can still sense a very proud 'Dad' behind all of these Comments and Disclaimers ;o>

Awww, the poor little Poppet! ;o<

Ohhhhhhh! - Bless 'im!!! - LOL!!! ;o> ... ;o> ... ;o>

Today's next plan...a nice long shower. Was trying to dish some Felix tuna soup for Snowdrop, and didn't open the packet right, meaning it squirted down my top and into my hair. 🤢
Been looking at Christmas trees as well because my existing 7ft one and a furry four legged person = trouble. Gonna order a wee 4ft pre-lit one from Wayfair in the morning.
