Did you fake the test to get a man cave break?
:0
All of the Residents have had it for months now - plus every member of Staff has had it and has mostly still got it as well - so poor tech never really stood any chance at all of avoiding having continual contact on a daily basis with highly infectious people no matter how incredibly thorough and careful he always was at all times ;o<
I'm with my Mum on this when she said, on getting her first dose of the Vaccine, that she would much rather have to stay shielding for the rest of her life if it meant that the NHS and Private Care Sector workers and carers would get vaccinated as the First Priority Group.I genuinely don't understand why there are SO many Front and Second Line workers that are STILL waiting for their turn to be vaccinated while courageously risking getting seriously ill through carrying on with providing care and support to the rest of us? ;oO
This should never have happened to our tech! ;o<
"That care home communal Christmas dinner, so worth it!"yup, when the big wheels on the clusterf*** express have already started rolling towards perfectstormsville, ain't a damn thing you can do to stop it!

Chowing down on a mini chipolata, well lubricated, with company you wouldn't choose.
Ah yes the annual 'works do'.
And if you're really unlucky the office 'mad cat women' will have imbibed enough Sherry to attempt mounting you in the coffee area.

Me first. Carbolic for the bollo..........
Carrying on with my weekend project of sorting, arranging and discarding my painting and sewing materials. Things have got scrambled together without any plan and so, inaccessible. It's amazing what I've found so tomorrow, I'll be pursuing some new ideas. :o)
eeh, it's quiet round these parts today - preparing to leave house for first time in, what 14 days, to see the doc tomorrow, about all this covid nonsense i'm hearing about! honestly quite nervous about it.

Just 5 extra "glugs".
My plans today are quickie housework and waiting on Zon bringing my Ivy Revel tee. Then if I'm really adventurous and get my butt into the shower at a decent time, I'll treat myself to an episode of Dawson's Creek. Life sure is exciting...
Snowed here earlier! Our days are now dominated by online homeschooling....a truly hellish endeavour. We even have the voice of the teachers coming over the laptop, teaching Irish language.
My nephew posted on FB yesterday; "Today has been a long day. Started teaching at 8.40 and then “taught” 7 out of 8 periods in the day, a half hour break and then into Y12 parents evening until 8. Thats an awfully long time staring at a screen and screaming into the void." He's a mathematician so we'll just have to forgive the missing apostrophe in that's but maybe a thought for the poor buggers on the other end of online lessons? Oh and he has a baby who's teething. Another teacher replied; "My sofa has adjusted to the fit of my bum where I don't get off it in front of my laptop for 10+ hours every day. Almost as bad as actually being in school but without the exercise!" Oh how I miss the smell of whiteboard markers in he morning.......not.

You making a snowman later, Tim? Snow was forecast here Wednesday and Thursday but we never did get it.
"Only clubbing I'll be doing is over Brass's head!" - be needing one of these then shortarse!https://www.amazon.co.uk/Home-Vida-4-...
Looking forward to a nice bottle of wine tonight after having to cancel my 3rd break (booked for March 23rd-26th) in 10 months. Stirling here I don't come. Bloody Coronavirus! ☹️😡🍷
outside is still another world, but the light dusting of snow reflects a sheen of hopefulness, quiet and wonder. the animals make their imprints but don't break the spell. elements of disruption are queued up and waiting, i salute their patience.
Having completed our ten days of home quarantine we've been out for a walk and done some shopping.Looking forward to going back to France soon and doing it all over again.
good stuff, les, remember to continue practices of safety tho'. you can still contract it, but to a much lesser degree. where were the vaccinators based? somewhere large and empty? i imagine falkirk's stadium would be perfect! boom!

An Israeli study says 99% protection after second jab. Of the people who did catch it half were severely affected still, the others just mildly.
The main place was Falkirk Town Hall, but being housebound I had a home visit from the nurse.. I've got a slight headache and my arm aches a bit. Don't know which vaccine I had. The second dose is 2-12 weeks later.
"The second dose is 2-12 weeks later" - wouldn't start getting anxious until the end of the 11th week as things stand; give everyone a bit of protection then fingers crossed it's enough and that the vaccine supplies keep coming seems to be the unscientific gamble as things stand. Mind you them nasty buggers in t'EU might throw a spanner in Bozza's world-beating 'plan' (quelle surprise et deja vu);https://www.guardian-series.co.uk/new...
Meanwhile my 86 year old housebound mother still hasn't had her 1st. She rang her GP to be told they'd cancelled an appointment she'd not been informed about in the first place.
mrs tech has had her first (2nd booked) as she will be joining the vaccinator team.my father (149) has had his first (but, damn, survived)

No, just a general leaflet saying the 2nd is 3 to 12 weeks after the first. The district nurse didn't have any further info.
I fell asleep in my chair for 8 hours! Felt really groggy with a headache and a bit sick. Very unpleasant.
"I fell asleep in my chair for 8 hours!"....while the nurses in recovery tapped their feet and whistled tunelessly?
anyhoo, poor joke out of the way, i'm banking on having enough energy to polish my cherry reds (to go where?). that's not rocket science! in a way it is, see, the official cherry red polish lends a pinkish tinge to the finish, which is unacceptable, really (i've had a conversation with the good people in the doc shop), so i have to measure out a lump of polish with a plastic knife, and then add official black polish in until a rich brownish/cherry is achieved, then apply and buff to a glacial finish. don't bother asking why i don't just buy some (official) brown polish - that would just be daft!

As I understand it, it is only when you take your next test and test Negative that you can then come out of isolation.
