A reasonable telly night for me. On More 4 - 2 episodes of a new supposedly difficult quiz show, each side of The Great Pottery Throw Down. Followed by 'Love It or List It'. Can't resist property shows.

Suffering after eating half a cow and several baby lambs and the tasty skin of several pigs at the new Rodizio Brazilian restaurant and also wondering how the hot flying fudge sauce they can get away with charging £3 for a can of coke.#veganbalance
wondering if any of those poor farmyard animals were actually dead before sera started chomping into them.
Sorting and getting rid of the packaging from a shopping trip. One new sauté pan - Lakeland; sheets, pillow slips and underwear - M&S; jacket -John Lewis; toiletries - Boots. All with paper, card, plastic bags and labels (sticky and tie-on) which need removing and recycling or, worse, binning. Nothing was so fragile that it needed lots of protection and padding and it took ages to sort. Grrrr...
I had a day of mostly socialising. I met two friends at a local cafe for coffee at 11.00, then at 12.30 I walked two doors down to another cafe to meet up with another friend for lunch. It's been over a year since we last met and it was 3.00pm before we knew it!
Finishing sorting aforementioned LPs and discovered 2 I'd forgotten about which belong to nc, sorry! I bought one of those machines for converting LPs and tapes to CD but have never managed to interpret the instructions. Must have another try. Also, finally made an appointment for an IT bloke to fix various iPads etc which are poorly. Here tomorrow, yippee!
You'll have gathered from this post that technology is not my thing.
Collecting our car from the bodyshop which we are all pleased about since we've been getting bored with just doing local walks.Rig will be especially pleased from tomorrow morning onwards as we can now all go into town where his adoring fan club can feed him Bonios, chew sticks, dog treats, etc.
Willing myself to drag my lazy backside onto the exercise bike, then having a long hot shower, and shutting the blinds on this horrible weather.

He'll have to be careful or he'll need to go to 'les Surveillants des Poids des Chiens'!

Enjoying our regular (on weekends) bacon and eggs brunch at home before meeting up with my younger daughter and two friends for a play at 2.00pm. It's a first play by Benjamin Law who is well known and loved here for his TV series "The Family Law" as well as his regular contributions in The Age newspaper. It's about a family intervention in their mother's hoarding and I know I'm predisposed to liking it already. Tonight I'll be catching up with "Inspector Morse" who I'm watching (again!) from the beginning.
activating power of attorney.rolling around in untold millions of fresh banknotes.
only one of these statements is true.
Wondering where the hell the week has gone - this weekend seemed a long way away last weekend but, suddenly, here it is!
Wondering what kind of fool works for an organization that holds joint meetings/training events on Saturdays.
Don't tell me the score, SW. I probably won't get a chance to watch a recording until tomorrow morning....driving through strong winds to visit my dad in his care home.

Mum's the word, Gordon
Staying out of Cardiff centre while the rugby's on! (but we're in if you fancy a post-match cuppa) ;o)Finishing the collage and doing a read-through of a journal article for the DH.
Relaxing with some music and a glass or 2 of wine after pedalling my backside off on the exercise bike. Then tonight's agenda is a few episodes of Murder She Wrote and a nice cold bottle of cider.
Isabella wrote: "Finishing the collage and doing a read-through..."What's the collage of, Isabella? Try & post a picture when you've finished it.
Anyway, I'm hoping the high wind & heavy snow abate in time for me to venture outside to make the 15/20 min walk to my Mum & Dad's house. Joining them for some food this evening, no idea what it'll be until I get there.
Nice computer man came. MacBook Air probably knackered. I've never been happy with it and hardly used it. What a waste of money. iPad Mini should be a simple fix and he's setting up my new full size iPad.

It's based on a visit to friends in Jersey, assembled bits taken from photos, so just an idea of the island in the summer. I'll try to post a photo but I'm not optimistic...

Today is back in the 30s again so spent much of the day binge watching "The Looming Tower". Highly recommended - anything with Jeff Daniels is worth watching in my book. It's about the years leading up to 9/11 and the total breakdown in communication between the CIA and the FBI - mainly because of inflated egos. Very scary!
This morning I will be slaving away in the kitchen - smoky chicken and mushroom pie for today, pasta-free lasagne for tomorrow and a cauliflower-topped fish pie for Tuesday :)

The recipe uses layers of sliced courgettes in place of the pasta.

The only crosswords in our house are the ones usually aimed at me!

Thanks. Now I have to find another distraction.

In't that basically a kind of Moussaka then, but with zucchini instead of eggplant?
I do like a mousakka though
Atm.....corraling two house spiders out of my bedroom! They're pretty big ones at that....tha wee beggars!
I will mostly be contacting a roofman. I've just been upstairs and seen the paint on the landing wall is all bubbly. Must be a roof leak. I can't get up there or outside to have a look. Sod it and buggeration.
Doing my best to stay in the cab and out of this lousy weather

Yet again I'm hoping that the snow will ease off in time for me to venture back outside - it's been nonstop since just gone 9am.
Yes, thank you, there was a weird smell and some smoke, but I stopped it before it actually burst into flames. The worst aspect was trying to grind beans with a mortar and pestle so that I could have coffee this morning.
Isn't there a web site for that? Grindr, or something? Sure it can't do any harm to look.Today I have already spent 2 hours getting to work and anticipate a similar time to get home, if home is still accessible without a ferry.
saw shrewsbury on the bbc news this morning. could have sworn i saw your bindle floating doon the waaater!
