were all these changes pre-publication? have any advanced reader copies gone out with the old info, do you know?
Ok, based on the ISBNs listed on the Oreilly site, as well as Amazon, there actually were a couple editions that weren't on the site. I found another one clearly marked as an ARC by its cover, which I have reunited with its brethren. Here are all the editions I've got at the moment, including one that I'm fairly certain was registered pre-publication with an ISBN/cover/author name but never actually published. Can't prove it, though, so it has to stay on the site:https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
Georg, your ebook edition (I believe) is this one:

There's some complicated inside baseball about what to do with ARCs, author pen names, ISBNs, etc. What follows is an explanation for other librarians, feel free to ignore if you're not interested :)
For those librarians who might care and/or search for this later:
1) Found an edition that, judging by its cover, was an ARC w/ author listed as
Lara Callender Swanson. It was incorrectly marked kindle and had an ISBN for the print edition. I removed the ISBN (as per ARC policy), changed it to paperback, removed its pub date, and combined it with the other editions.
2) I created a new paperback edition with the ISBN previously attached to the ARC edition, using info from the publisher's site and Amazon. This had a different pen name, Lara Callender Hogan.
3) I tried my darndest to track down any proof that this first paperback edition on the site had actually been published, but I failed to find it for sale anywhere (or listed on the publisher's site). I removed the pub date from this edition (as if it were an ARC). It and the ARC edition were also the only ones marked with Lara Callender Swanson.
4) I added kindle and ebook editions that were not previously on the site using info from Amazon and the publisher, all of which listed Lara Callender Hogan as the author.
5) Given that the only editions I could find with Lara Callender Swanson on them were 1) ARCs and 2) specious, I decided to pervert the original pen name rule in favor of its spirit, if not its letter. I made Lara Callender Hogan primary author on all editions and moved Lara Callender Swanson as secondary on the pre-pub editions.

However, the name of the author has changed, as has the cover.
The PDF-edition that I have bought lists the ISBN of the print edition in the colophon, but has the same ebook ISBN on the cover as is listed on the publisher's website at http://shop.oreilly.com/product/06369....
How should all this be handled?
Thank you, Georg
