Here's where we talk about books we'd like to read, upcoming discussions, etc.

Amy Lahr (amyksu) | 3 comments I'm reading/listening to Man Hands by Sarina Bowman and Tanya Eby. This book is sexy and hilarious. I love the narrators Erin Mallon and Luke Daniels. Not suggesting it as a group read, but if anyone is looking for a good fun book, you might enjoy this one.

I think I saw Tanya Eby talking about that on Twitter recently - and if you don't follow Luke Daniels there you should. He's hilarious!

I keep seeing Emily Giffin's books and wonder if I'd like them. Guess I should give one a try! Any recommendations as to which one?

Does anyone have a great recommendation for a paranormal romance in October?

yes! I really enjoy Ilona Andrews' work, I'm not sure the exact boundaries of paranormal v. urban fantasy v. fantasy but the Kate Daniels series has shifters so I presume that counts as paranormal. (caveat: they're all slow-burn and the romance doesn't come to fruition in the first book. It takes multiple books for Kate Daniels, but they're enjoyable regardless)

I'm also not sure where these fit on the paranormal scale, but my other book club has found Isabel Cooper's highland dragon books to be very enjoyable reads.

Wow, looking through my reads those are the only two I would consider paranormal so I'm all ears for others' suggestions!

I loved Something Borrowed, there's also a movie that was really good, too! But honestly all of her books are really good!

What great picks, Gloria & Andrea! I've read A Thousand Boy Kisses - total tear jerker but I thought it was a great ending.

Girl you are seriously into romantic suspense and thrillers. Love that title "Gimme Some Sugar" - that's just funny enough to want to read! I actually sampled the narrator and it sounds pretty good, so I may pick it up.

Somebody's Daughter by Rochelle B. Weinstein
The Christmas Mystery by James Patterson
The Witnesses by James Patterson
The Cost of Betrayal by Dee Henderson
