I was just thinking about why this story seems to appeal to SO many women I know.
Her parents were a pain sure, but she surely had everything she needed growing up and they did love and care for her even if their displays of affection were not to her liking.
Being preggo at 16 had to suck. But once she grew up and got through that part of her life it seems to be pretty cool right?
She is independent, has a good job, ends up with her own biz, is best friends with her daughter, has a grown up best bud with Sookie, has tons of other friends, her town is awesome, cute guys surely go for her, she looks great, stays thin no matter what she eats, has a cute house, in a safe neighborhood, her daughter is well behaved and smart, the list goes on. Such a cool life! Even when she was crying to Luke for a loan and overwhelmed she couldn't help but go on about how much she really does like her life.
I agree. I got pregnant at 17 a couple years ago and was kind of sad (just for a second) that it wasn't a girl. I wanted a mini me best friend girl like Lorelai and Rory. Hopefully I will have my girl-boy version of their relationship :P
