More recs, please!

I think it takes a while to find the books to recommend. I'm going to set myself a goal for the new year but that's still assuming I find anything I want to recommend.
I plead exhaustion. I do have one series to recommend. Of course it's romance with vampires *ducks for cover*
I've read so many good books this year (and all from indies) that I don't know which to recommend first. :/
Seriously y'all, share what you feel is a good read. Doesn't matter the genre, how dark, light or out there. Chances are someone of 1400 members will be into it and appreciate it. ^_^
Okay! No whip cracking - truly - just illustrating that even after making a conscious effort to recommend books our group wasn't making a lot of recs for other authors before and that reflects. People were GREAT recommending books when asked but it also might be half of the recs we have in total.
Like Shari said - if you liked and indie, recommend it. Talk it up in a paragraph and maybe more people will pick it up :D
Just keep reading and sharing!

I just lack hours in the day. If only I could insta-read, I would have at least 20 recs posted by now.The rest of you have no excuse ;P
But seriously, not only more recs, but don't forget Pay It Forward, that's been sadly neglected for a while.
And authors, please start your own Author Topic.
Kay, I'm done nagging for the day. Back to reading...
I spent last week browsing the Listopia feature and found several indie books that look really interesting. So they're on my to-read list. There are some great lists on indie books out there on Listopia. I was tempted to recommend the ones I found that looked appealing, just b/c it will be a while until I purchase and read them all (I don't have an e-reader, and paperbacks aren't cheap).
However, like Virginia said, when I read one worth mentioning, I will most certainly post it :0)
E.G., I'm with Shari-amor, bring on the romance and vamps! Lol! I recommended a few non-vamp indie books, but other than Courtney, haven't had much response on the threads. I'll continue to share recs, though. I haven't given up. And as others have mentioned, it may take a little while to get back on track. :-)
I hope everyone realizes there won't really be much discussion on the rec topics. We have discussion folders for that. We're not going to discourage discussion for recs, you talk about recommendations all you want. So please don't feel discouraged if your recs don't get any comments. A lot of people here, a lot of folders. If someone wants to start a discussion with something like, I gave a high recommendation for this book and I want to discuss the following subjects, etc, etc, then by all means.
Conspiring without me again eh? I see how it is...lol jk.
I'm all for Pat It Forward again as well especially around the holidays.

Almost 200 posts in blatant advertisement but most of our recommendation boards don't even have 10...

I just take this as a sign on how deeply the group degraded from it's original purpose about 10 months back and how much we all need to keep recommending books.
