Well from Kentucky, I can assure ye that Bung Hole is an actual word meaning something I bet you can't guess.
It's the stopper part of a barrel that hold wine or whiskey or something, right?

I must say, Stephen, that Ben's site is awesome. Tongue-in-cheek, but also dead-on accurate and very respectful of the fact that these people, real and imagined, are truly badassed.
