Read it back in 2018 and it was kinda middle of the road for me. I remember being super creeped out by Charlie when I watched the movie as a kid though, so I really wanna rewatch it this month to see how it holds up. Reading it though you can definitely tell Stranger Things pulled a lot from the story.
If you guys have been with me awhile then you will know that we did read Firestarter back in 2018. I don't like using the phrase DNF because I think all books should have a chance to be fully read. So like a wimp I call them my graveyard books. Firestarter is on my graveyard shelf. I reached the page 139 and was so appalled at the so called cops/federal agents that I couldn't continue at that time. Injustice really gets to me. It doesn't matter if it's a spouse or a government agent. Everyone should be treated with respect. With that being said....I'm looking forward to finishing this book. For those of you who have read Firestarter what did you think of it? For those of you who haven't read the book, but have seen the movie what did you think? Lastly, for those of you who haven't read this book before....what is your first impression of the synopsis or title?
Firestarter came to the big screen back in 1984, directed by Mark L. Lester (from his IMDb page, I haven't seen anything he has directed) and starring the adorable side talking Drew Berrymore at the age of 9.
If you loved that movie, back in 2002 there was a sequel! Firestarter 2: Rekindled the mini series. Apparently there was only one season. I didn't even know this existed until I was researching for this post.
Let me know what you guys think of the book or the movies/mini-series.
Have fun and good luck!
