S.A. Hunt (sahunt) | 12 comments I need to add Ten Thousand Devils to the Outlaw King series that The Whirlwind in the Thorn Tree and Law of the Wolf are in. When I try to do it, the link sends me to GoodReads' frontpage.

Also, the first two books have incorrect covers, and If You Could Read My Mind: a Short Horror Anthology and Gunsmoke and Memories: the Outlaw King Series have been unpublished from Amazon, so if someone could remove them that would be great.

Is there some sort of status you can give me so I won't have to ask for help in here anymore? I really need to get rid of all this two dozen editions of three books and put the correct cover on the final volume. It would really, really help if I could edit my own books. I tend to try out different covers to see what customers respond to, and GoodReads isn't very technically receptive to that. :(

1) Added the book to the series. Only librarians can edit a series.

2) Here are your ACEs.
Book 1: The Whirlwind in the Thorn Tree
book 2: Law of the Wolf

3) We do not remove books just because they are no longer being published, they are kept around so that people can have the books they own on their shelves. It is just like a library.

4) We do not remove old editions of a book for the same reason as #3, people want to shelve the version they own. You can set the edition you want to be the default one that people see when searching for the book or viewing your author page.

Authors can edit some info for a book, and you could have created the ACEs by clicking the "add a new edition" link on the book page, but you cannot change the cover of a book that already has a cover, only librarians can do that.

Here is how to set your Default Edition.
Set Default Edition

S.A. Hunt (sahunt) | 12 comments Thank you very much. <3

I've tried to set default editions but it keeps switching back to old/incorrect editions and as I traverse the site I see all the editions in various states of undress. It seems like all the changes I make are just suggestions and the site does what it likes.

It would be infinitely helpful if I could repair/rearrange autonomously. You have my solemn word that if I could be in charge of my own books, I won't touch anything else on the site under pain of death and/or banishment, if that's the worry.

Philip (burnnerman) | 5912 comments My understanding is setting a default edition does not necessarily change your Author Dashboard (What you see), but it does fix what other people see. To test you can log out of your account and then search for your book.

Only you can set the default, by following the steps in the previous post, a librarian cannot do that.

Also, if you run across your book on a listopia list then, it only shows the edition that person added not your default.
