This book I listened to as an audiobook within the last 5 years (it being 2020) and it was a promoted Sci-fi book that would be promoted to you as you signed up. It is about a detective who is aboard a colonization ship in space and he has to solve a mystery of some kind. It is very similar to Altered Carbon in some fashion.
