Accented letters in my blog

Hi,

my blog is in italian/english. Each italian post has accented letters and hyphens but all of them are not correclty imported in Goodreads. Pls see this example: https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog...

When you wrote the post did you use tge HTML coding for accents? You may need to do that

I normally write in wordpress... as everyone does. No one is so crazy to insert HTML tag for every accented letter! Italians, French, Russian, Germans, etc will become crazy!

WordPress is using the "meta charset="UTF-8" , while your page isn't doing it...

its not just wordpress - it is who other websites are coded - if they aren't coded to recognize diacretics, then they won't transfer over - I dealt with it when I was doing web programing on a previous job, the previous database hadn't been designed to accept them, so we had to do the HTML for all of them, or just remove
