Wright (jwwright83) | 12 comments For years I've been of the persuasion that a sword and sorcery saga could be written in the Ghostbusters world/universe that takes place during the time of Gozer the Gozerian that is introduced in the first film. I think there is so much untapped lore there, and if someone did it right. it could very well be done in the vein of Howard, Moorcock, Wagner, and Clark Ashton Smith. It could be very dark and dismal. Of course, there probably would be several copyright and licensing hoops one would have to go through. What do you guys think?

Sounds fun. Give it a go. Perhaps a short story first. Worst case you can share as fan fiction.

Agreed, it would be a great opportunity to world build, even if it's just a side story. The Sword and Sorcery approach would be a good one to take, but it could also be part Weird Fiction as it is hinted that Gozer is from, or at least travelled to, other dimensions, and was apparently worshipped by the Sumerians.
