I reread this a few years ago & gave it a 5 star review. It's the mother of every pirate story since, I think. it was great as an audiobook.

I had never read it. I loved it. I read it as an audio book as well. It had great narration.

I should have responded to this weeks ago, but I read this book about 15 years ago. I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed the read, and I think movie depictions of Silver have softened the character quite a bit.

I had decided to read the book because I was taking the family to see Treasure Planet on Thanksgiving weekend, and I was curious about the original source material.
