Commonwealth - Background/General (No Spoilers)

We have not heard back from the original nominator Michelle, so I had better start things off myself.

Commonwealth is a family story set in California and Virginia, starting in the 60s and ending in the recent past. I read it last week and enjoyed it a lot - who will be joining us?

I picked up a copy of the book today, and I have just started Chapter 2. I am a little disconcerted by the time jump from Chapter 1 to Chapter 2, but I am enjoying the book so far.

I read this three years ago, and I have to confess that it hasn't stood the test of time well, as there is very little that I recall from back then - siblings, telling the story to a writer (does he steal it or is it freely given?), some confusion over the timeframe...


I'll have a look at my copy again and refresh my memory.
