Virtue and vanity - violent hero... I mean, violent. Thought heroine married him for $. Heroine knew it is arranged, but doesn't realize he wanted her to refuse to marry him.

Thanks!
The Sheikh's Bartered Bride by Lucy Monroe also fits this trope but I think you've read it already Vintage

I'm terrible at remembering plots by looking at the cover of a book or at the title. And I haven't yet managed to sort all my books into shelves.
But I did manage to find this one:
The Sicilian's Marriage Arrangement
Books mentioned in this topic
The Sicilian's Marriage Arrangement (other topics)Worlds Apart (other topics)
To Have and to Hold (other topics)
Blackmailed by the Greek's Vows (other topics)
Claiming His Runaway Bride (other topics)

I loved Sicilian's Marriage Arrangement where Hope has no idea she's in a MOC until the H gets in a snit.
Any more like this???
Thanks, Kelly
