I have a question for those who have watched this or read the book. (view spoiler)
I've only read NOS4A2 by Joe Hill, but it seems to me he likes creating characters that make bad decisions. I get frustrated with them sometimes.

I've read the comics a few times, but am only on episode 4 so far. I'm not sure how to answer your questions as far as the show goes, but I can agree that Hill makes characters that are realistically flawed and choke under pressure, just like most of us would.

Yes, they do have character's flaws, and they don't necessarily make bad decisions under pressure. For example, (view spoiler)
I finished watching the series last night. I think the story wraps up nicely, with an option for a second season (has anything been announced yet?) I like the series as a whole, with great production, great acting, great special effects. All the various keys are fun! But those bad decisions ((view spoiler) ) somewhat take away from my enjoyment of the story.
