A retired CIA agent teams up with a retired KGB Officer who was his enemy while they were working. I don’t remember why, some mission for some reason, maybe an investigation. The Russian comes to find him, convinced him to team up.

The CIA agent’s son, now an agent himself, is leading a team to try to find his father. Son teams up with a female Russian spy. Lots of flashbacks to dad’s career.

There is a memorable scene where the son and a CIA team are searching his Dad’s cabin and they see a box hidden in a lake under some ice (it turns out to be Dad’s counterfeit ID making kit).
Rather than wait for a diver, the son cuts a hole in the ice, has someone hold his ankles, and dives in. Great description of the pain of the ice and the warming up right after.
