This was a signed copy I picked up on my trip to UK this year in a little backstreet bookstore. Another mind bender from Crouch. Imagine trying to help someone you love and accidentally causing the end of civilisation. Imagine being able to go back and repeat life to try to fix your mistakes and save those you love only to end up with the same ending each life. Imagine getting several lives with the love of your lives but they don't remember any of them and you do. This is a case of the best of intentions going very very wrong, humanity just not being capable of doing the right thing and the dangers of unintended uses for scientific/technological developments. Crouch has managed to include enough character depth for the reader to care about the characters, flaws and all, enough action and adventure to keep it fast paced and enough sci-fi to keep the sci-fi contingent happy.
