Liam knows Mena is hiding something from him and she’s aware that he knows. Why didn’t she tell him of her marriage before they left for London?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Fear -- many kinds of fear, I suppose.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I think she was about to tell him and would have if they hadn't left for London is such a rush. Mena knew that telling Liam the truth was a risk and it made her hesitate, hoping that there was a way for all of this to be resolved without Liam not feeling betrayed.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I think she was about to tell him too but events prevented her from doing that. I think she thought if she stayed out of sight, there wouldn't be a risk.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1810 comments Let me just say that the keeping secrets trope is exceedingly annoying.

While, I understood why Mena kept the truth from Liam for most of the book, the journey to London was the perfect time to tell him. The fact that she didn't showed a distinct lack of trust that undermined the romance for me a little.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I agree, Lauren, she should have told him on the way to London. Hitting London and not having told Liam her secret was just not going to end well.
