"Nothing that's important," he said with a small shrug. "What about you? Anything interesting going on?"
"Well, other than Piper being insane and me having to share a dorm with her," Sophie smirked, "Nothing much."
"That must really suck," he said with a small frown. "I would definitely die."
"Especially since neither of us really sleep. I just watched television on my tablet. The headphones blocked out most of the noise."
"I am so very sorry for you." He smiled slightly. "That must be really awkward. Well let's look in the bright side, she hasn't tried to kill you yet."
"Surprised she hasn't. I've been making remarks at almost everything she says. Pretty sure she's not too happy about that."
"You are a hero." He chuckled and looked down at his feet. "An idiot, but a hero."
"Well what am I supposed to do? I get bored at night," she laughed. "There's not much to do, especially when you're stuck in a dorm."
"And I can't believe you don't sleep though. It's awesome. Like death but without the commitment. Death with benefits, although I doubt you know what that reference is from."
"Well of course I do sleep every couple of weeks, but I'm not very fond of it."
"Why not? Because if you haven't already noticed, I love sleep." He smiled slightly.
"Oh, I've noticed," Sophie said, grinning.
"Come on, it couldn't have been that obvious," he joked.
"Yeah, it wasn't. Who calls sleep a good thing by comparing it with death?"
"Hey, death isn't so bad. The thing that sucks is the pain. Death itself is okay." He shrugged.
"Well, maybe for other things it's worse. But for us, the worst part is the pain. And the worry that your best friend is going to turn into someone who's gone completely mental."
"True. You won't go and die on me anytime soon, right?" He asked with a small smile. "Because if so I may just have to kill you."
Sophie laughed. "And vice versa. Never think about doing that."
"Pinky swear on it?" He asked, holding out his pinky.
"Pinky swear," Sophie said, holding out her pinky as well.
They locked pinkies and he grinned. "Good, because I love you just the way you are."
"Oh, thanks, I guess," Sophie blushed. "I like you the way you are too."
"Thanks," he said and pushed some hair out of his eyes. "Look, I really need to tell you something."((And in comes Piper.))

((Yes.))Clay blushed slightly. "I... Um... Well," he stuttered.

Piper walked into the entry hall, and saw Sophie and Clay talking, "What are you two up to?!"

"Oh, there is definitely something," She told him.
"Piper, why do you always come into people's conversations at exactly the wrong time?" Sophie said.
"Ah, were you two having a moment?" She asked with a smile.
"Depends on your definition of moment. If you meant that we were talking, then yes. But if you mean that we were kissing, then definitely not."
"Ah, talking and kissing are close enough," She replied.
"No they aren't," Sophie said. "We were just talking about stuff. Like sleeping and death. Quite random topics if you ask me."
Piper laughed, "You two lovers."
He turned an even brighter red. "No, we're not lovers!"
"Yes you are!" She told him with another laugh.
"Since when did talking about death mean that two people were lovers?"
"Ah, you two are just so sweet together!"
"Come on Sophie," he growled. "We don't need to talk to her." Clay started to walk off.
"Ah, yes you do!" She said sweetly.
"Piper, we really don't," Sophie said, turning on her heel and following Clay.
"Hey!" Sophie said, catching her balance before she fell.
"Hey!" Clay yelled too, trying not to punch Piper.
