Neil | 2 comments As a youngster I read a book with a title something like 'Trouble Down the Line' - it was light fiction. An administrative error causes a young man called Percy who is a booking clerk at a small country railway station to be promoted to General Manager because he has the same name as an ex army officer. It may have been set in Norfolk. The story is how Percy reorganizes the railway to the annoyance of the workers.
If anyone can come up with the title and author, I would love to read it again.

Chaos down the line by Robert Hill
and
Something down the line by Katey Johnston
Not much information is available about them online though.
