This is an easy read novel that would likely appeal to a teenage female. It would link to a US II curriculum. It gives a solid picture of the horrors of Japanese internment through the eyes of a Caucasian female and her Japanese American boyfriend. Bridge of Scarlet Leaves

Student teachers, struggling teachers, parents, administrators, substitute teachers---anyone interested in experiencing JOY in teaching and learning. Not a boring textbook. True scenarios, dialogues, stories that will make you laugh, cry, agree, disagree. My mission: for each book purchased, I gift a book to a teacher.
