maria helena (mariahel) | 964 comments Jodi wrote: "Do we just need titles or all the cards they qualify for at this point?"

It is easier for us if you still include which cards (however, a few per book is enough, you don’t have to write down every single character if you don’t have time...)

message 661: by maria helena (new)

maria helena (mariahel) | 964 comments I’ll update the tracking sheet tonight. Unless I counted wrong, I think we only need another 7 books to finish!

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 505 comments You all have been doing a fantastic job!!!!

We've finished Parts 1 & 2 for the mini-challenge and just have to put together a story for Part 3. "This is the story of your tea party in your own words. Be as creative as you like. You can use as much or as little of a title as you see fit."

So far we have the following titles to choose from:

Red, White & Royal Blue
Wayward Son
Rebel Heart
Walking Disaster
Royal Holiday
Cloche and Dagger
This Old Homicide
A Beautiful Wedding
Something Beautiful
Pretty Little Liars
Black Sheep
White Knight
I'll Give You the Sun
A Man Called Ove
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine
Room
Hired Bride
Snow Creek
Hushabye
The Secret of Chestnut Hall
Cemetery Stories
Rivers of London
Getting Played
Living for a Higher Purpose

We have quite a selection to choose from (which is better than not having enough), and we can still use any titles that we finish in the next couple days. Just have to limit it to 15 titles (at least that we get points for).

Michele Abrams Lehn (mabramslehn) | 428 comments Woohoo!! I'm kind of sad to see this coming to an end. Great team! Now we need to write a story. We know Alla can write a fantastic one but I think it would be fun if everyone contributed one line and we just work off the previous line. Just a thought. Maria Helena had a great idea for the beginning. I'm open to all ideas.

message 681: by Alla (new)

Alla (allaskarp) | 364 comments I like that idea Michele :)
And I agree, I will be sad to see this end. This challenge has made me push forward books on my reading list, books that I might not have read yet otherwise.
Someone mentioned another challenge coming up...can't remember who...

message 686: by Jodi (new)

Jodi | 130 comments This was super fun! Not only did I finish way more books than usual but I also added a lot to my list seeing what y’all were reading, lol! Hope to see you in another group, challenge or game sometime soon. Let me know what I can do to help with last section. I’m not as creative at writing as some of you though.

I wouldn't worry about being a "creative" writer. No pressure. Let's just make this last task about having fun as a team.

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 505 comments Neat idea!

You can check our points vs other teams here here.

Keep checking NBRC - they have 2 big games every year and you'll see a lot of the same people there. They are my favorites of all the various games, besides Clue at Game Night. It should be coming up, May or June. I'll PM you once we know when sign-ups will be open (& when the games are ready to start)! Would love to be on another team again :)

Tea was served as well as something beautiful- a sumptuous red velvet cake layered with vanilla pudding, red and blue berries and whipped cream, and a variety of red and white wines.
It was a beautiful day for a tea party. The only downside to the day was that the bride´s family wayward son was in attendance. He was no white knight that young man, but rather the black sheep in that family, the rebel heart. He hadn´t been home for many years. His mother said that he had been living for a higher purpose and sailing the rivers of London.
