Nanette Lishman | 4 comments Hi, I'm new to Goodreads and discussions, but here goes...I'd like to start reading some mysteries. Can anyone give me suggestions about favorite authors?

Anne (ammay) | 2 comments Hi Nanette - I'm not a huge fan of mysteries (they make me feel dumb for not being able to figure them out!) but I have read some that you might enjoy:

The Chain by Adrian McKinty
The Mother-in-Law by Sally Hepworth
The Arrangement by Robyn Harding
The Party also by Robyn Harding
The English Wife by Lauren Willig

Hope these help!

Krystel | 7 comments I like Agatha Christie for classic mysteries, and the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters - they take place in Egypt, and the main character is a lady archaeologist.

Toni | 5 comments If you're looking for an easy going read in the mystery section and like a cozy mystery once in a while, check out the Charles Lenox mystery series by the author, Charles Finch. I really like them as a respite book - a book to just enjoy without have to delve into all kinds of dark stuff. Enjoy.
