Sofi walked in the room, intent on making friends with her dorm partner. She wouldn't get many opportunities like this, she reminded herself as she considered hiding in the bathroom.

Fara walked into her dorm and put her stuff on the bed. She looked around to see if her dorm partner was there.

Sofi heard the door open and hid under the bed.

Fara sat on her bed with a sigh, her dorm partner wasn't there yet. She looked around the room at the walls and started to unpack her stuff.

Sofi felt a sudden weight on her shoulders. She emitted a small, "Eep!" At the unexpected change.

So much for making a good first impression, she thought glumly.

Fara got up, "What was that?" she asked and looked around

Sofi reluctantly crawled out from under the bed and hid her face in her hands, extremely embarrassed.

Fara looked at her, "Oh! Are you okay?" she asked, "I sat on you, didn't I?" she asked

"Um, yeah," Sofi said, wondering why the girl was not screaming and running around in shock. That's what most people did, at least when she acted like a turtle.

Fara nodded, "I'm sorry!" she said, "Are you my dorm partner?" she asked

Sofi replied, "If you're Fara, then yeah." She started to like this girl that didn't scream if someone just came out of the bed.

Fara smiled, "Are you Sofi?" she asked

"Yea." said Sofi

Fara nodded, "I'm Fara, though, you already know that!" she joked, "Nice to meet you!" she said

"Yeah, people tend to think that I'm observant, but in reality, I just notice things they said but don't remember." She said happily. "Nice to meet you too!"

Fara smiled, "Cool!" she said

"So why are you here? I'm just here because I wanted an adventure, and I like puzzles.

"I'm here because I've always liked solving puzzles and crime riddles too!" Fara said and laughed

"Well, should we start unpacking?" Sofi asked.

Fara nodded, "Yes, we should!" she said and started to put her stuff away

Sofi nodded and started to unpack her stuff too.

Fara put her stuff away and laid down on her bed

After Sofi finished putting away her stuff she sighed and she too layed down on her bed. "I wonder what the other people are going to be like" she wondered aloud.

Fara nodded, "Yeah , hopefully they're all as nice as you are!" she said

"Aw, thank you! That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me! I don't get many nice compliments." Sofi says, looking down.

Fara frowned, "Why not?" she asked, "You're really nice?!" she said

"My parents... preferred to keep me inside. I didn't get many friends, and people got jealous because of my top scores in practically everything." Sofi confessed.

Fara nodded, "I see, " she said, "That's no reason not to like someone!" she said

"I know! But they probably were just annoyed that they were beaten by such a different girl.

Fara shrugged, "Yeah, I guess so," she said

Sofi smiled and said, "Well enough of that! Are you excited for tomorrow? I'm worried because I might turtle again."

Fara frowned, "You might...... Turtle?" she asked

" Oh, like hiding under a desk, running to the bathroom, like I did with the bed incident," she said sheepishly.

Fara nodded, "Ooh..." she said, "I'm sure it'll be fine!" she said

"I sure hope so," Sofi muttered.

Fara smiled, "I'm so excited!" she said, changing the subject

"I'm nervous, excited, and hopeful all at the same time," She said, noticing the slight change of subject.

Fara nodded, "Same," she said, "I hope the class is nice!" she said

"Me too," Sofi agreed. "I wonder how early or late we have to wake up."

Fara nodded, "That's a good question," she said

"Maybe we should ask the front desk lady. I'm also wondering when we have meals." Sofi said

Fara nodded, "I never thought to ask any of those things!" she said

"I just thought of it now, so you're not alone." Sofi said.

Fara smiled at Sofi, "Yeah," she said and laughed

Sofi stood up and then thought better of it. She flopped back down on her bed and said," I'm bored. I don't know what to do because I don't want to get lost but I want to explore at the same time."

Far nodded, "Yeah," she said, "We could go explore together?" she suggested with a smile
