Lynnette, do you want me to pick a book for you?!

message 75: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments I think I've hit a book slump. 😫

I just can't do The Guy on the Right The Guy on the Right (The Underdogs, #1) by Kate Stewart . 🙁 The narration is HORRIBLE. Like "grades on your nerves listening to their voices" awful and the college party scene story just isnt my thing.

Waaaaahhh!!!!

DNF

I have a struggle with a lot of NA, too, Leslie, but a bad narration is even worse.

Lynnette, I pick this one for you. The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

I haven't read this one yet, but I want to and Liane Moriarty wrote one of my all-time favorite books, What Alice Forgot!!

Leslie | 2430 comments Ela, I would pick Rapture Rapture by N.N. Britt for you! This looks good and is on my list too.

message 86: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Judy, I know that The Guy on the Right (The Underdogs, #1) by Kate Stewart is much loved by many, but the narration wasn't my only issue. 🙁 I have a hard time with the whole college party scene and I disliked the characters. I'm super bummed as I was excited to try it. Oh well, it's at least off my TBR right?

I'm actually finishing it up and sadly it was creepy! This type of shit works for me in a smut novella and NOT in a plot based full on book.

Ela, Creedance is a definition no for me if you say it was too creepy for even you. Lol. After reading Douglas's Corrupt, I won't be reading any other "dark" books by her. The crazy ass implausibility and seriously questionable dumb-ass decisions make me rage. And laugh. 🤣 Let alone the "creep" factor.

Happy Birthday, Sweetie!!!
