My best advice would be to take your time and make sure you get everything right. So many people race through to get to the stage when they've got a copy of their book in their hands, and that means they cut corners and that's never a good idea. So take your time with each stage and make sure your book is the best it can be.

A lot of writers don't complete their book because of displacement activity, where it's easier to do something around the house or chat about your book or plan marketing than it is to properly work on it - increase the word count or re-write for quality. My advice is to turn off your phone, turn off the internet and be productive.
