It wasn't long before Jace was dragged back home like some sad lost puppy. Throwing his things into his room he decided to hide out in the library, sure if anyone needed him they'd easily be able to find him. Looking over the multiple shelves he noticed the boy from earlier sitting by the window- that was his favorite spot. Scowling he moved himself over towards the opposite end of the room so that he could find some peace and solice in whatever book he'd randomly just grabbed off the shelf.

Hearing someone open the door, cade looked over and around the library. He noticed the blonde boy he had met earlier. He opened his mouth to say something but just closed it as Jace walked to the other end of the room. He frowned and turned back to the window, enjoying the view of the Garden from here. He mentally noted that he would have to go out to the garden at some point.
Every time he looked at the page in front of him the words blurred together. And every time this happened he looked back over towards the stranger. Raking his fingers through his tangled hair he sighed heavily to issue that he was ready to talk- apparently the boy didn't understand the universal signal. Getting up he set the book down at the place he'd been sitting before making his way back over towards him. "So, wherer are you from?" He aske with his arms crossed defensively over his chest.
Cade glanced at him and disn't say anything at first. Should he lie or just say the truth. He figured he probably be able to see right through his . Lies. "I don know." He told him. When he noticed his confused look he shrugged. "I dont remember anything from my past. The last this I remember is showing up wi th clave. " he looked dont at his feet for a sexond then glanced back at him.
The shadowhunter simply nodded his head wishing this hadn't happened so soon after.. He shook his head before nodding it as if confirming something through his own mental process. "And why did the clave send you here?" Even as he continued questioning him Jace wanted to attach a string of profanities after every other word he said to the boy. Though he vaguely remember asking what his nam was he couldn't seem to recall exactly what it was.
Cade shrugged. "I dont know. They just told me to come here to train and learn and what not." He watched him carefully. He noticed something was wrong but didnt acknowledge it because he looked pretty pissed. He hoped he didnt do anything to make him made. That would have been a bad first impression. "Maybe you guys just have a good teacher or something."
"Why our institute? Why not Londons, or Bejing's or...." He listed a bunch in his head as he muttered under his breath. Seeing the uncertain look in the younger boys eyes he quickly stopped his strange behavior before clearing his throught. "Alright.... Caden... We'll see you with a room." He said as he turned back to the way he'd entered without so much as another word. He new the good teacher indicated was himself, but he didn't want to train anyone, maybe he could just hand him off to Alec.
"Its Cade!" He yelled out as he walked off. He huffed and looked back at the window. "Well he seemed just cheery." He said to himself sarcastically. After about ten more minutes he walked out and went to the kitchen. He really needed something to eat. He froze when he saw other people in there, he bit his lip awkwardly. "Ummm....hey." he mumbled, scratching the back of his neck.
Jace stopped by the kitchen to grab himself something to eat. Seeing everyone lined around the table he put on another one of his award winning smiles, figuring that he should immerse himself In his society eventually. And eventually was right now. He and Alec fell into their usual banter before they heard a hello. The others around him gave the kid a look before he spoke. "This is Caden everyone." He said, though he knew that wasn't his name.
Cade glared at him slightly. "Actually it's Cade." He said and just stoof there awkwardly as they stared at him. "I hate this. You know. Im just gonna grab an apple and go. " he grabbed an apple from the table and turned to leave. "Way too awkward for my liking."he stated as he went to leave the kitchen. He didnt like people staring at him. He got that enough from the clave.
"Well Cade must be short for something." He replied with an eye roll before returning the small glare. "You know you're not very nice. You should be though considering we're putting a roof over your narrow minded head." Jace called out in annoyance when the boy meant to leave the room. Often he was so brash but he was sure his friend were only excusing his behavior in light of recent events.
Cade turned back around to face him. Narrowing his eyes a little at him. "No its not. Its just Cade ." He took a deep breath calming himself down. "Well Im sorry that I didnt have the greatest welcoming committee. The first person I just so happen to meet was just as narrow minded as im apparently being." He defended and crossed his arms.
Jace wanted to explode and complain and whine about all the reasons he wasn't rolling out the welcoming mat and throwing a party for the guy, but he kept himself composed. It was one thing for him to mope, and a complete other thing to bare his heart to a stranger- and an ungrateful one for that. "You need to just cool off. None of us no where you came from, and it's not every day that a new shadowhunter comes strolling through the institue doors.. I mean how'd you even know where to find us?" The young shadowhunter had multiples questions, and before he could go into full on intterogation mode Isabelle stepped in front of him.
Cade stopped and took a deep breath. "i dont even know where I came from, okay?I hav no memory of my past. As to how I found you I don know. yhe clave sent me here."He watched as The girl stepped infront of him. Cade bit his lip and waled off going back to his room. He wanted to hit something badybut de ided against it. he didnt want to break anything that wasnt his.
