Thoughts on History Group Read

Do we want to continue having a History monthly group read? I only ask because discussions have kind of tapered off over the past couple of months, so I'm not sure if it's something people are still interested in doing in this group. I know some people who were really interested in this idea no longer actively participate.

Anyway, please let me know your thoughts. I'm more than happy to continue doing it, but if it's not something people want to do, I may drop it (or maybe change it to every other month).

Even though I seldom participate, I still like to see what books are selected and I go out and get them if I don't have them already. I always read what is posted and sometimes will join in with a comment on a particular chapter.

I like to see what is selected also and try to participate when I have a chance (or remember the book well enough to post something intelligent). The last few books I have either read some time ago or were not interested in reading them. For the ones that I have read, I do go back and read what is posted.

I simply cannot only do this group's reads - but it is the only group that I follow every single message thread! I don't always participate in reading with you but I try and nominate stuff and vote and add a little bit. PLEASE do not remove the history monthly group read - I personally find it in fact more interesting than JUST euopean royalty reads..... Please keep it alive.

Great, that's all I wanted to hear! :) We'll definitely keep it going then. I like having the variety, so as long as people enjoy it I'll keep doing it.

I usually follow my own reading path & mood, so if it's a book I'm interested in I'll get it and join in and get the book. There's been several times recently its been a book I've already read. I'll follow the threads but only jump in if I have something to add.

I like this Monthly read and now that I have finished by Open University History course for the year, I can start reading history for pleasure again ! so please keep
