Ready Player One: The Movie

So the book you all chose as our one year anniversary read back in July is being made into a feature film and Christopher Nolan has been offered the director's chair. Thoughts?

Personally, I don't think it will work. The copyright issues for the material alone will be a nightmare.

It would have an excellent soundtrack, however.

I'm not sure how it would work without all of the licensed content but Christopher Nolan's visual style would suit the sequences in OASIS.

Fingers crossed that it doesn't suck (or get turned into a trilogy...).

I thought when reading this book that it'd make a great movie, but I'm really not a fan of the Christopher Nolan films that I've seen (no, I don't like the Batman films. Shut up), so.... meh. It will have a good soundtrack though, so that's one box ticked already.
