Sweet Surrender question

Please Help! I'm looking for a book but I don't know the title or the author. It's about a married couple.
The guy goes to work and finds that his wife wants a divorce, so he tries his best to find out why, and change her mind. I think they were high school sweethearts.
He runs a construction company, where he spends most of his time trying to provide for his family( this is part of the issue, he was quite absent).
Later he finds that she doesn't really want a divorce she just wanted to get his attention.
