I'm so beyond excited that Burned is finally coming out next month!!It feels like I've been waiting forever! With that said I have two questions. Someone had mentioned that Dancer has some darkness in him that we are yet to see. I'm re-reading Iced and have yet to see anything hinting at that. Do you know? And secondly Karen implied that Dani will have a physical relationship with at least two guys. Who do you think will be the first? I'm thinking Dancer makes the most sense,what do you think?

Lol. I totally feel u! I had some negative thoughts about certain things as well. But that's one of the reasons I love Karen's writing so much, she provokes such strong feelings from her readers. That's why I think all things considered she should give Dancer a chance.

But I have a feeling Dancer is not what he seems. Remember Mr. blue eyes from the bar ended up being The King. What do you think Ryoden is up to? I think he wants to take Barrons and Mac. I really Hope when Burns comes out Mac gets back in the picture forgives Dani and then can steer Dani away from the perverts. What do you think?

I think Mac is definitely gonna forgive Dani. I think that's why she tracked her down at the end of Iced cause she knew Dani wouldn't come to her. I think it will start out with them reconciling. Then that will throw a whole new spin on things,cause Mac and Barrons will stand between all the others and Dani. However I know Ryodan is not gonna give up on Dani ever! In an interview Karen said that Dani hooks up with someone and it starts a sh*t storm. That's why I think it's Dancer first and when the one of the other two find out they go crazy and try to get her. I'm so excited to find out!!!!

That would be awesome!! I fell in love with Lor in Iced. We really got to see his personality way more than in any of the other fever books,he's funny. Putting the age thing aside cause she is gonna be 19 for part of burned(although I don't know how Karen is going to pull that fast aging thing off) who would you like to see her with? As an adult of course.

I think it would be awesome if she was able to pull Christian from the dark side even thru in Iced he was number 2 CREEPER!!! But you also have to think why has KMM put a spotlight on LOR in Iced then coming out with the Sex with Lor is she gearing him up to play a bigger role.

I have always loved Christian!! Even when he is dark. Cause he is not dark by choice and is constantly fighting it in himself. I would love to see her pull him back and give him a shot. After all the crap he has been through he deserves it! That's what I love about these books,she always creates multiple men that you want for different reasons. Lor is definitely gonna have a bigger part and I love it all!!!!! Lol

I vote Dani's first hook up will be Lor. *giggles* Then it can be all kinds of jacked drama between he & Ryodan because of it. Her 2nd hook up is obviously gonna be with whomever her HEA is gonna wind up being. OR it could be the other way around too. Who knows with KMM.

But I'm more eager to watch Dani grow & mature(age as well as mentality), over the course of these books as KMM said she would be doing. Very eager to see the type of woman she becomes. But I fear I can't tackle this until both books are out. I can't take KMM's cliff hangers.

I totally agree! I'm very excited to see Dani mature emotionally and mentally as well. I love her character and I know she will become a phenomenal woman. I'm eager to see what she goes through to become that woman. I tried not to read Iced until all 3 were out but I just can't. Any little taste of that world I can't resist :-)

@ Stacey See, I got spoiled. When I started the Fever series, book 5 had just come out. So I was able to go right into each book when I was finished with the last one. And thank goodness for that. Those cliffhangers?! No way I could have stayed sane waiting on the next book, without getting totally ticked off with KMM.

But then I waited a whopping 6 months after ICED was released before I read it. For 2 reasons. Dani, & the fact that her trilogy wasn't complete, so I didn't trust KMM not to leave me with a MAJOR cliffy. But I caved & finally read ICED. Though I was glad I read it,(I really grew to love Dani in her book & everything surrounding her was just done superbly, IMO) I still hate that I read it before the next 2 books were out. I keep saying I'm not gonna read the next one when it comes out til book 3 is released, but I feel myself caving with this as well.

Right there with you girl. My sister recommended the fever series to me after they all had been released so I got lucky and couldn't consume them fast enough. I tried to read Iced closer to the release date of Burned but then she just kept pushing the date back and back (bangs head on wall) but if it makes the next two books all the better then it was worth it. Nobody has mentioned what alluded to Dancer having some unknown darkness in him yet. I'm re-reading Iced and haven't come across it.

I have no idea what is up with Dancer or if anything will come of it. I'm still very much on the fence where he is concerned. Meaning, he's neither here nor there with me. Right now I just see him as more of a means/tool to help move things along with certain plots. If his role becomes more paramount I can only hope I love the way it goes.

I love this series. I've seriously read books 1-5 so many times I've lost count... I heard KMM kept pushing the dates back with some of the 1st 5 books as well. Another reason why I am so glad I came across the series when I did. So it didn't surprise me when she kept pushing Burned back. I love that she prefers to give us a tightly written, worth while story, I just hate that for the most part KMM can't do this within a reasonable/ normal time frame like many authors. Hence the constant push backs and delays on follow up books in a series that has just cruel cliffhangers...

Ugh. I hope she doesn't hook up with anyone; child pornography is abhorrent (and don't delude yourself, that's pretty much where Iced indicated this series was going.) This series is not "sexy", it's disgusting. I was such a huge fan of the Fever series, but KMM crossed the line in Iced. I hope she takes a major step back or leaps forward considerably in time in Burned or I might have to stop reading them. A bunch of disgusting perverts lusting after a 14 year old girl is not what I am inclined to read about.

Well since so far, there are only 3 books dedicated to the telling of Dani's story, I don't think her aging process will be something we have to wait extremely long to see happen.

But keep in mind, she could still and I believe will be, having sex as a teen, she just won't be as young as she is in ICED. BUT like I said above, I'm more interested in Dani's mental and emotional growth than I am with these much older men "lusting" after her. They can lust all they want just as long as they continue NOT trying to force her into something she's clearly not ready for. Which none of them did in ICED.

I definitely have to disagree. They were not lusting after her solely in their mind (which would have been gross enough), but there was way too much sexual innuendo and suggestive comments made aloud about her. That kind of sexual harassment is atrocious enough when it's directed at a mature, adult woman, but the way KMM sexualized a juvenile 14 year old girl was sick. In one book she managed to make repulsive several characters that I was previously fond of from the Fever series.

It was mainly in their own personal POV's that these things came about though. And there was suggestive dialogue in a few instances, but that felt as though it was geared more towards us, the Reader, than it was Dani actually being aware of it or what it even meant. And while this was disconcerting for me, again, none of them out & out forced any of their desires/wants on this child. That would have been unacceptable to me. So I think that's why I could more so deal with what was occurring during some of these moments.. Even though a few of them made me uncomfortable.

So are you going to read Burned? Or did ICED turn you off too much to read it?

It's not her age that makes me hope it's not him. It just seems wrong for it to be him, especially since all the guys seem to know Ryo has "claimed" her. I guess I just don't see her and Lor together. Dancer I can see.

I could see her and Lor getting together on like a fling type of thing. An infatuation of some sorts, but nothing really coming of it. For many many reasons.. I really can't see her with Dancer in this sense or any real romantic sense though. At least right now. Maybe it's because right now, he represents all things "puppy love" for me and this rarely works out in the long hall when u have people growing into their own becoming different people as they're learning who they are.

But we'll see. Maybe Dancer and Dani will surprise me.

This book is a perfect example of different people reading the same book and having very different reactions. I don't think Ryodan lusted after Dani in Iced. I feel he see's the potential of what kind of woman she will be and wants to guide her,keep her safe, and yes keep guys away from her. But at this point I don't get the impression at all that his feelings are sexual. I think she has young love with Dancer a few flings after (Christian and possibly Lor);-)and ends up with Ryodan! And I see nothing wrong with it if they are all adults. They are a thousand years older than the chicks they are hooking up with now.

Oh you are right I didn't even think about that. I just know he will never give up on her as long as he lives and she was softened towards him after he sacrificed himself to the hag. Maybe if she helps bring him back from the dark side or maybe he learns how to control himself better when he becomes full prince. I am soooooooo excited I need Burned like NOW!! Lol

I love Christian! Even though he was coo coo for cocoa puffs, in this book, I still loved him. I feel so bad for him and I only hope there is some way for him to be redeemed. I wouldn't be outraged if he and Dani got together one way or the other. But I can't see him for the long haul either. When it's all said and done, no matter who her first 2nd, or 3rd lover may be, at the end of the day I always see Dani ending up with Ryodan for the long haul..

And I agree with u Stacey. It doesn't really enrage me, how these men think of Dani. Though there were things that made me a little uncomfortable, I never saw them or felt they were lusting after Dani the girl, but more they were coveting the woman. The potential of the type of woman she is on the road to becoming. And they want to possess that for themselves. But never in their musings were they forcing their desires upon her. Even Christian in his sex crazed mind, stopped himself from doing such things to Dani.

I enjoy Karen Marie Moning's Fae series, very, very, very much!

I read this book about a year ago, and was also shocked at how mature Dani behaved, though she was a young teen. I suppose it's because I am a boomer, and girls just did not behave in that manner, at that early age, if ever.

I do love this series, and am waiting with baited breath for Ms. Moning's next installment which is supposed to be out in January, 2015.

Does anyone hate the child abuser Ryodan character as much as I do? I can't get over how physically abusive he is to a 14 year old. The thought that she ends up with him is sickening. I would love to see Christian overcome what he is becoming and be the champion Dani deserves. He may be a little out of it right now but at least he is not abusive to Dani like Ryodan is. There is nothing that can redeem that character for me. He is a child abuser plain and simple.
