SOLVED. Anthology of short stories - one of the short stories had 'Symbiosis' in the title. [s]

Looking for title of book which is:
Published in United Kingdom.
Is an anthology of short stories by the same author.
Published between 1986 - 1992.
The author is female.
The general category book is 'fantastic fiction'.
One of the Short stories is called 'Symbiosis', or has 'symbiosis' in the title
I think the publisher of the book is either Methuen, or Faber and Faber (though I'm not too sure of this).
I seem to recall on the blurb of the book cover that the author was a creative writing teacher in a prison.
Any help in finding the title of book would be greatly appreciated.
