I requested it, but not before checking the library had plenty of copies I could borrow, just in case.
Thought I would mention it here in case anyone else was thinking of requesting....

Thanks for that - it's important for those who "can't" read PDF... I wish they would fix that oversight - it wouldn't be hard!! Good idea checking the library too!

I was interested in this book - lots of hype! However I seem not to be able to concentrate on serious stuff at the moment! I think Covid has made me want to read lighter books or even fantasy. My way of escaping :)

I had a look and clicked on See Full Details to see if NG says anything. Well, they do, sort of, but you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page (I'm on a laptop), and there's a Note from the Publisher that says "We regret that this electronic galley is not available for Kindle viewing."
Not really good enough, is it? I use Calibre on my laptop so I can convert from one format to another. My library has it as an e-book in both Cloud Library and BorrowBox, so obviously it's ok in a digital format.

I’m a bit the same. I keep putting the more serious reads on the backburner. I looked at that one a few times and didn’t request it but it has got a lot of 5★ so I’ll give it a try.

Thank you Patty, I will check the fine print from now on!

I just tested that (thanks Patty) and chose a book, scrolled to the bottom - and nothing. So perhaps what you saw is only on books that AREN'T available by kindle. Or perhaps only that particular publisher does it! Who would know.... but as I said, it can't be hard!

Who would know is right! I put in a request at NetGalley, not that it will change anything. I've also asked them more than once to please add the author's name along with the title, date of publication, and genre under the picture of the cover, but so far to no avail. I can't always read the name on the cover, and I don't want to miss a favourite writer!
I'm the same, especially when the author's name is written very small. I have to click on the cover to get the full information (which I guess they think isn't hard to do!) But the format is what needs to be added!!

"Starting today, you can see the format of a book before requesting
The NetGalley team is always working hard to make the member experience the best it can be. We want to hear from you, and we really listen! One feature members have asked us for is the ability to see a book’s format before they request, and that information is now visible in the “Available on NetGalley” section at the bottom of book pages."
Hooray!!

I actually noticed it a few days ago, but when it said Kindle (PDF) I thought it must have been something that had always been there and I hadn't noticed it before! Thanks Marianne :)

Thanks Sharon - I've only read #1 but with it not being published until March 2021 I might be able to squeeze the others in! lol

Stop it Sharon!!! lol
With regard to Rachel's series, I've just slotted 2, 3, 4 into a challenge - so hopefully that'll make me read them before I have to read #5!!

WOOHOO!

Yes, I saw that too - a great improvement!

Just saw this on another group. It seems this may be the last in the series, Brenda. Very sad 😢
If you follow Rachel on Social Media you probably know she's battling cancer for some time & the prognosis is dire. She's entering one final trial in hopes it will help. She can use your prayers.

Thanks Brenda. I requested it and got my reply almost immediately!

I can practice JOMO for this one, I wasn't impressed by #1

I'm reading it now and enjoying it so far.
Even with my 8 read on the weekend, I still have 15 to go this month, and that's putting some books published this month into October. Lol What a dreadful problem to have ;)

For fans of the Miss Underhay Mystery series, book 4 has just appeared on NG.
Murder on the Dance Floor by Helena Dixon

Nicole Trope's latest, The Girl Who Never Came Home: A completely heartbreaking and utterly gripping page-turner is on NG, to be released in November.
