NetGalley - Requests and Read Now Advice
Phrynne wrote: "I think the link on this book is to the wrong Lisa Regan."Thanks Phrynne. You're right, Goodreads has the title linked to the incorrect Lisa Regan, so maybe Brenda could fix that too please :)
(I've inserted the correct author in the post, but don't know how to fix the wrong attribution.)
Marianne wrote: "By Any Other Name by Jodi Picoult is up FOR REQUEST from Allen & Unwin publish 20 Aug"
Thanks Marianne, I've requested this only because the publish date is later in the year.....I'm trying to avoid this thread but keep coming back :P

I've been rather up and down with Picoult and her last few books, so will give this one a miss this time thanks Marianne.

Guilty Mothers by Angela Marsons is available for request on NG :)"Wow - A double header! New books by both my favourite detective series authors - Angela Marsons and Lisa Regan in the same week!
I thought the same as I saw this one Carolyn! So excited (although I'd promised myself no more May releases!!)
Lol!! I didn't even check the date until after I'd downloaded it!! Always fit in Angela and Lisa :)
I'm not sure why Bookouture always puts Lisa's and Angela's books on Netgalley the month before publication but like you I can never say No.I'm also not requesting any more June and July books unless one by an author I love comes along.
I haven't looked that far ahead yet. I only just listed my May books to read - which gave me a fright! - so haven't looked any further. It's hard keeping to what we want isn't it! And Bookouture isn't the worst. Joffe puts theirs up with sometimes a fortnight between. But then you get others that are way out, much easier to plan around!
I just reviewed a book on Netgalley - and I don't know if it was something specific for this book, or I just had a 'man look' but the tick box to get the review to feed into GoodReads appears to be gone! Is this no longer an option? Has anyone else noticed this?
I've never used that Kylie as I review on GR first, then transfer it over. So sorry - can't help with that one :)

If anyone else is interested in Irish author Donal Ryan's work, there's a new one available on NetGalley UK, Heart, Be at Peace, which has an absolutely gorgeous cover!

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... Alex Cross Must Die completes my October books, now I only have a few in November, then January, February, March and April and I'll be up to date LOL
Marianne wrote: "https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... Alex Cross Must Die completes my October books, now I only have a few in November, then January, February, March and April and I'll..."So ... you'll be all done by May, eh? 🤣😂🤣
Having said that, I still have a couple from October to get around to - eventually.

Just keep trying Marianne. Sometimes I get rejected by a publisher then next time get lucky. Perhaps it's just down to which member of the marketing team you get that day.
The Hitchhiker by Gabriel Bergmoser is up for request. This one was previously Audible Only (I hated the narration, so didn’t listen to it!) Published 31 July.

Oh thanks Helen and I have my copy.

The Wrong Man by Tim Ayliffe"Terrific! Thanks, Kylie. I've been enjoying this series. Fingers crossed I get it.
The uncorrected proof of Random in Death has the following anti-theft device: on every page there are at least three sentences without spaces between words, like so "EvescrubbeditoverherdamphairasMiramovedtotheofficeAutoChefforwhatEveknewwouldbefloweryteaindelicatecups." It's a challenge, but I'm persevering...
Marianne wrote: "The uncorrected proof of Random in Death has the following anti-theft device: on every page there are at least three sentences without spaces between words, like so "Evescrubbedito..."ACK!

I only read the paper books of the In Death series (just finished this one a few days ago) as I collect them!

I collect the paper books too so I just wait for publication date of each one. But there is no way I would spoil my reading experience of them by reading what you describe there Marianne!
Marianne wrote: "The uncorrected proof of Random in Death has the following anti-theft device: on every page there are at least three sentences without spaces between words, like so "Evescrubbedito..."I would just tell the publisher: No, not doing this! To expect readers to struggle with that on every page is beyond belief!
