Thanks Marianne....my Netgalley TBR pile just keeps getting bigger....at least these ones aren't published until 1 May.

LOL, can't be tempted by Fran and Ken Stein?
You should see my list, I dare not mention the number here....
but my feedback ratio is still 90%

I know I'm thinking NO MORE, don't anyone tell me about any more....then today I got 2 ebooks in my mail box for ARC's I had forgotten I had signed up for from the publisher. They had 8 on offer, lucky I only put my name down for 2.

Come on, give us the number!!
Do you read them all by publish date?

I admit Fran and Ken Stein were fun - so it’s very tempting 😉
but I just don’t like the pressure of having too many books with looming publication dates!

Bec, not a chance! And, not a chance...
I used to get stressed about it, now I just put the authors I really like at the top of the list when their books are coming up, and slot the rest in when I can. I only have three from Aug 23 still to read, one from September, and then the numbers start to climb, except none for December. Quite a lot in March... hahaha

Thanks Marianne - I enjoyed book #1, so will put in a request for this!

Oh Marianne, It's such a comfort to know I'm not the only one...

(The US site site had it too but only as a St Martin's 'wish for it')

Do you mean Empire of the Damned? It is a different series to Nevernight.

I sent an email asking about the second book of a series because I hadn't had an offer to read it and I couldn't find it on NetGalley. Caiomhe is the person who usually corresponds with reviewers. This was the polite but definite reply.
"Thanks for your interest, Patty. We have decided to stop using NetGalley and won’t be sending books to reviewers going forward.
Very best wishes,

I said thanks and replied that some publishers send messages directly to Goodreads reviewers offering new books for review. Sapere has always been very friendly, so I don't think it's personal.
I didn't say that I know NetGalley costs money, but we're cheap! 🤣

Yes, I agree.
I have bought the last few of Graham Brack's books on Amazon, so I guess I'll keep doing that.

Yes indeed Phrynne - so sorry, wrong series, I did mean [book:Empire of the Damned|126918599] , the sequel to Empire of the Vampire - have corrected above.

YAY! Thanks, Kylie!

Fingers crossed! I was rejected for the last one...

I lucked out this time!

Excellent!

Well done Marianne!

I always try very hard to read them before or on publication date. I would hate to have that many way past their dates Marianne! It would make me very anxious!

Oh you do have a lot of reading to do. Good luck. I hope they are all great!

Me too. I'm not asking for/accepting anymore until I get my May books done. I've made a decision to skip one that was published 28 March and finish off the April ones so they were done on time. I've got about 4 publishing 1 May and then 4 others throughout May. But I want to get the early May ones done first then I'll go back to the 28 March one. It's from a publisher I'm auto approved for so I figured that one would be okay to slip a bit.

Me too. I hate getting behind although sometimes it's hard when you have a huge stack all due in the same month.
Yes I agree with you Bec and Carolyn. I'm not requesting any from authors I haven't read before, and trying to keep my total below 30!

Same for me, once upon a time, but no longer. I'll get there, I'm not stressed :)

I'd better not tell you what my current total is. More than 30, though :)
