I'm hoping I'll get an ARC from HarperCollins but if not I'll have to not review. When I clicked on download PDF it just said happy reading - I have absolutely no idea where the file went! It's not on my kindle!!!

I'm really looking forward to this one - I've had it on my wishlist since I heard about it :)

Me too, she is one of my favourite Aussie authors

I use the Netgalley app on my tablet as well for the pdfs (on the rare occasion I request one). It's okay but not as easy as kindle and you can't highlight or make notes. I think if your file expires you can download again as long as it's not been archived.

Got it! A real favourite of mine. :)

It will be interesting to hear from Wiliam's point of view!

It will. Not sure I can leave it until October to read. Then again I have so many others to read first......

Me too!

It been implemented for a few weeks now Tien and I for one are very thankful for it! My own fault when I forgot to look with a previous book as it said PDF!!

I've been avoiding browsing on NG until I get my reading list under better control, but I'm happy to add that one (although I'm hoping he's writing a new Erika Foster).

I've managed to get it up to 91% and have 30 books on my NG shelf, but that won't last long, I'm sure....

Oh, well done! I'm impressed. I'm currently aiming at hitting 80% and getting the shelf down to a single page.

Thanks Brenda, picked that one up

Oops my apologies, I must thank Carolyn ☺️

Good tip, thanks Carolyn! Does anyone know which state the book's set in? - I'm in need of SA books for the Read Around Australia challenge.
It doesn't say in the blurb Sarah but because she lives in NSW, it's probably there. But that's only a guess and we may know more when we read it :)

Thanks Brenda! I've downloaded it, and had a quick peek. There are references in the text to "down to Sydney", "up near the Queensland border" and SA as a place removed from the action, so I think you're right, it's most likely set in NSW. Confirmed with a police contact being given as NSW missing persons. Looks like I'll have to keep searching for those elusive SA-set titles!
Have you checked other people's lists Sarah? I quite often find some great reads by doing that!
Also the SA list of books in our Help section :)

All the town names seem to be fictional, but I'd say definitely east coast as she mentions the colour of the sky that you get west of the Great Dividing Range.
If you haven't read it already, The Other Side of Beautiful by Kim Lock is a great read, set in SA & NT and still available for request on NG.

Sarah, I'm pretty sure one of my favourite reads was South Australian - Salt Creek by Lucy Treloar. It's a terrific debut and won a bunch of awards.

Thanks Carolyn - will check it out!

Thanks Patty and Brenda - I'll have a look at these ones too!

The one she followed it with was Wolfe Island, not set in SA...

The new Leonie Kelsall is set in SA, near Murray Bridge, so is her debut.
Wattle Seed Inn is the new one.

Thanks Brenda - good tip!
It doesn't seem that long ago since her last one Sarah - I was surprised to see this one! Not arguing though ;)

I would have requested that one too but have held off due to PDF.
Had an old Kobo and old laptop that I could use previously but have retired them both and hate reading books on my iPad.
On a happier note I did get Meredith Appleyard All About Ella granted 🤗
