Historical Fiction. This novel is set in WW2. A beekeeper is separated from his daughter during the chaotic events surrounding Nazi occupation .  SPOILERS AHEAD. After escaping the beekeeper searches for his child who was left with family friends. He ultimately finds them but is subsequently killed by the "adoptive mother".
