There are some funny moments in this book but for a journalist the writing is just bland. He does come from a news background so that may be why, as he is just used to reporting the facts, but it could have been so much more.
The Stevie Wonder quip removed a whole star for me. What right does this guy have to take the piss out of someone who has managed so much with so little and someone who has actual talent at that. It really upset me.
Beckmann has had an interesting life and has found himself in a lot of strange situations but so have most of us. Something different was what I was looking for not a long list of famous people he has met or made an idiot of himself in front of.
The title was the most unique and interesting part of the book.
