Diana Costa | 1027 comments Hey everybody puddings! :) At the moment we just have the cornflour spot unassigned! Pale yellow cover anyone?

And I am pretty confident that Vicki will read at least another book until the end of the month, so the main challenge is nothing to worry about.

My advice is that, unless you're reading a book assigned to you for the mini *pale yellow cover to be assigned*, do not finish it this month. Leave a couple of pages until the 1st and the book will count towards our March cards!

Jen (wwygadatlt) | 53 comments Thats going to be so hard... theres like 10 days left :(

message 255: by Noel (new)

Noel Diem (noeldiem) | 228 comments I can do pale yellow.
Then, I’m just gonna start a nice long book that will take that man days to finish!

It's just a suggestion, you can of course finish as many books as you'd like :)

It's everybody's fault that we're doing SO GREAT! :D

I've got a few that are NOT for the mini that I'll be finishing for other commitments. Do you want me to still add those to the SS just in case they'll fill a gap somewhere?

message 258: by Tina (new)

Tina | 768 comments I finished Sweet Fate this morning and I loved it! So that's the number 2 in the mini.
Moving on to Storm Glass :)

Yay! I hope you like it as much as I did:) The first book in the series was also great!

Hi Tawni,

It only counts if it was the edition you read! And from what I see on your shelf, you already read a different edition.

message 263: by Tawni (new)

Tawni (tawnimarie) | 122 comments Ohhh, got it. This was the edition I read, which in person *is* very yellow, but the screen makes it look really dark:

Noel Diem (noeldiem) | 228 comments I haven’t had a chance to add it, but I read Maybe, Maybe Not which is shades of yellow with a design that looks somewhat like corn

Diana Costa | 1027 comments Noel wrote: "I haven’t had a chance to add it, but I read Maybe, Maybe Not which is shades of yellow with a design that looks somewhat like corn"

I think we can use it for cornflour!

In that case we have 4 books left on the mini and 3 on the main challenge. (books for the mini will cover the main challenge, we have only a 2 and 3 Wilds left)

Books for the mini are:
3 -- Gem
24 -- Cyndee
120 -- Diana
270 -- Cyndee

Gem, Cyndee, are you ok with your reading? In case affirmative, the rest don't have to finish the books you're reading, even though you can! :) Tina, the spot that was assigned to you (6) was covered by Noel, you may save the book for next month if you want.

message 266: by Tina (new)

Tina | 768 comments Ok, thanks for the info! I'll save the book for next month:)
Great job everyone!

message 267: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm definitely good with getting mine accomplished. I'm about 30% through the "24" and the other is short and will be no problem. The absolute latest these two would take me to finish would be Thursday, though I'd venture to guess it'll be before then.

Great job Puddings!!

message 268: by Noel (new)

Noel Diem (noeldiem) | 228 comments I’m definitely gonna hold of on finishing The Casual Vacancy for next month - counts as a red and fits nearly every card.

Gem ~ZeroShelfControl~ (zeroshelfcontrol) | 574 comments Yep will be finished tonight or tomorrow 👍🏼

Gem ~ZeroShelfControl~ (zeroshelfcontrol) | 574 comments Just added mine to SS.
That's me done for the month :) looking forward to seeing next months hands

Gem ~ZeroShelfControl~ (zeroshelfcontrol) | 574 comments The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
I'm doing a buddy read for this so hopefully we can use it for a yellow as I wont be finishing this for a week or so

I'm so sorry I'm just now seeing this. Yes, it must've gotten cut off somehow. I'll fix it, but just in case it is "She poured a current of warm milk over it, scented with cinnamon and vanilla and sugar" (pg. 47).

No worries Vicki. Actually since we had a spare book with Vanilla, I used it.

We just completed the main challenge! And the mini is taken care of with Cyndee's book. And I sent Pixie our recipe! :D Well done puddings!

No need to add books to the spreadsheet until next month :)

We should get our March hands tomorrow :)

Way to go Puddings!! I'm almost done with the last book! I'll post a message in here when I'm done with it, no later than this time tomorrow!

Diana Costa | 1027 comments I don't know if I should laugh, or if I should cry because we have our March hands and our coloured cards are the most difficult set I have ever seen 😂

Here is a breakdown:

Coloured cards:
6 Yellow -- Gem
7 Yellow -- Cyndee (fits 8 Yellow too)
8 Yellow (x2) -- Diana (x1)
9 Yellow -- Diana
5 Blue (x2) -- Diana (x1)
5 Green -- Gem
6 Green -- Gem

Wild Draw 4: 3
Wild: 1

Skip: 7
Reverse: 8

0: 2
1: 7
2: 5
3: 6
4: 13
5: 9
6: 9
7: 6
8: 8
9: 6

Draw2: 6

I'm just going over my books to check what do I have here for the coloured cards. :)

message 278: by Noel (new)

Noel Diem (noeldiem) | 228 comments Oh my those do look difficult. I will look into the reverses again!

Gem ~ZeroShelfControl~ (zeroshelfcontrol) | 574 comments My yellow (message 271) I posted above covers yellow 6. I had a red I needed to start but think i can swap it for another.
I can also take Green 6 - Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell character is Simon

We don't have red cards!
Which numbers do you have for blue and yellow? :)

Now I want to read James Bond's books too. I completely forgot about them... I added your name to the Green 5!

message 287: by Jen (new)

Jen (wwygadatlt) | 53 comments actually I think I can do 2 blue Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth and They both die at the end by Adam Silvera

the yellow the priory of the orange tree by samantha shannon. I'll just need someone to check that one and confirm its yellow enough

Gem ~ZeroShelfControl~ (zeroshelfcontrol) | 574 comments I've only read 3 or 4 and they dont have to be read in order and are short so they are really good to pick up when youre in a stump.

The priority of the orange tree is not yellow enough.

For the blue covers, I did not find how can they cover number 5, which is what we have in our cards. Are there characters with names starting with "I"?

message 290: by Noel (new)

Noel Diem (noeldiem) | 228 comments Measure for Measure and Wuthering Heights both have an Isabella?

message 291: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm going through my TBR for blue covers set in places like Illinois, Indiana, Ireland... :)

message 292: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok, I have one that works for blue 5 :)

message 293: by Noel (new)

Noel Diem (noeldiem) | 228 comments Perfect, Cyndee! If you don’t want to read or get it, I found another one that works for it too.

message 294: by [deleted user] (new)

Ack Noel! I'm a little slow this morning (it's still early here in my part of the world), so I was thinking you were recommending Measure for Measure and Wuthering Heights for someone else to read. If you were wanting/planning to read those go for it! I didn't mean to come in snagging anything from you. :)

message 295: by Noel (new)

Noel Diem (noeldiem) | 228 comments Oh no stepping on toes at all! I will have plenty with the reverses so if you want to take that one, Go ahead!

Noel, Cyndee, we have 3x Wild Draw 4! You can both read Blue 5's: one book will go to a Blue5 and the others can fill WD4's! :)

One Reverse down :)

message 300: by [deleted user] (new)

I have 2 books on my "READ SOON!" list that were read by Tina and 2 that were read by Vicki so I'll make sure to get them done in March. :)
