Oh yes, that's blue :)

Oh, and if you read Everything I Never Told You with a blue cover, we can use it for the Draw 2 in Hand 11, with a Reverse and WD4 :)
I have several books that fit for colors but aren't the right numbers :( At least not from what can be inferred from the synopsis. I'll have to keep looking.

I'll just keep looking. I'm not sure what we need now. LOL
@Cyndee and Diana, how do you find books I've read so easily? It takes me forever when I've looked for books others read and I don't have much success. I'm HOPING I can contribute more in April.
@Vicki, I don't actively go looking for books the team has read, but if you've got a book you're planning to read anyway, go to the main page for the book and scroll down just a little. Right below the "MY ACTIVITY" section for the book will be "FRIENDS REVIEWS" and you can see anyone on your friends list that has rated the book or put it on their TBR.

I can take blue 7, The wife between us by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen

Oh. My. Gosh. LOL Thank you!
If we read an anthology, can we use each main character and each author in the book?

No, in that case what counts is the editor's name.
UNO FAQs:
"Can any of the authors listed for an anthology be used?
> Use the author listed on goodreads as the "editor"."

Awesome Jen! And I'll use yours too Cyndee for a WD4!

Thank you! I looked in the rules but didn't think to look at the Q&A. Sorry!

No worries :)

Titles don't count, must be the name of the character!"
This one fit after all, so maybe it can be used as one of the WD4s? Its on the SS

Noel, we already have a Green 4. And because we have a Draw 2 in the same hand as Blue 7 and a WD4, we just have two other WD4 to worry about. At the moment they are assigned to you with a Blue 8 (Would like to meet) and Tina Blue 6 (Sleepless in Manhattan). All Blues are assigned as well.
For the WD4 you can either read your Green 4 or your Blue 8. Or you can read both and we will simply not care about the colour of one of them. Your choice :)

How are you doing?
Just a quick update on the colored cards:
Colored cards:
5 Green 1 -- Diana / Never let me go
1 Blue
5 Blue 1 -- Noel / The Blessings (also fits 7 Blue)
7 Blue 1 -- Cyndee / Valencia and Valentine
7 Yellow 2 -- Noel / ? ; Cyndee / Love her or lose her
6 Red 1 -- Jen / Crescent City

Oh, I forgot about that one, sorry!! Tawni finished The Trial, and it fit that spot, so I went ahead and used it...

Cyndee, I also see that you already finished the Red 5, excellent!
Thanks Tina! :)

Any book finished on Apr 12th or later will count.

Here is a list of the recipes:
List of Recipes
What are you guys thinking? I like the sound of the New Wave Upside Down Cake...
Oh wow! I can't believe it's starting already!!
I'm fine with whatever recipe.
Just so I'm clear, do we do all 3 sets of tasks (spell out, cover, & complete the story)? Or just choose one of the 3?

I'm sorry for the lack of updates, this whole quarantine thing really got to me for the past couple of days... :(
As Noel said, the mini challenge is already on! We're using New Wave Upside Down Cake recipe! The challenge consists of three parts:
One: spell-it-out! We can use book title, author, characters and location (the usual) for the following letters:
R - O - C - K - E - T - C - R - E - A - M - S - A - L - T
A x2
C x2
E x2
K x1
L x1
M x1
O x1
R x2
S x1
T x2
Two: Words in cover (we can be creative here!) or in text. I chose the following:
Small
Pink
Orange
Blue
Green
Space
Candy
Line
Three
Time
Smooth
Plate
Bag
Heat
Black
If, however, you find a word in the recipe that is not part of this list but that fits your book, add it to the spreadsheet! :)
Three: Read 15 other books and use the title to create a story "of your tea party in your own words". And "you can use as much or as little of a title as you see fit", so we're good.
Total is 45 books!
For the main we have currently 71 books left. Have you been reading anything really good lately? :)
I'm reading Twice in a Blue Moon that could work for "blue" in the mini. And also The First Girl Child that could work for "black," but probably has more potential being used in the story portion?

I think I'd rather fill all the spell-it-out and word tasks first. That gives us more margin of manouver in the end if we need to switch things. :)

Ok, I figured as much but saw the "story" column on the SS so wasn't sure

Noel, I thought this would work for 5 Blue, but there is no indication on the spreadsheet for the 'I'. Did you by any chance miss it?

Nope - there was an I character but she wasn't as central as I thought. She's only in about 25% of the book! I'm trying to find another that will work :)
I'm reading Twice in a Blue Moon and there is a character named Ian who seems important to the story if you don't want to have search out something special, Noel.
ETA: I am now about 65% through the story and he is definitely important enough to the story to count as a 5. 😁

Oh, Tawni, don't! :) Life happens, and the challenge's purpose is that we have fun and to push us to read more but only when that's possible. :)
(Just to make sure you know, books can be non-fiction, as long as >100 pages.)
Colored covers must be more than 50%. It was close, but wasn't enough. But nevermind, because Jen is on it :)

There are new columns in the tracking spreadsheet if you move to the right. Same as for previous mini challenges :)
I'll add the info about these two books myself this time.

Thanks, I'll see if I can find the spot.

I think I misconstrued the directions for finding things on the cover. I thought we were looking (for example) for three things such as 3 buttons. I guess we were looking for the actual words as part of the title?
Anyway I posted another book and I think I've done it correctly.

Words can be found in the text, or as something in the cover! 3 buttons on the cover would work for “three”! :)
