Just a quick note about what I've found to work really well for getting all our books done for the month.When you post your book/add to the tracking spreadsheet, please give me all the possible cards it works for. This is great in case we have to move things around.
When we have books to add, I'll prioritize this way:
1. Color cards (I've already put the info into the main spreadsheet for everything you guys have posted. You're all awesome, by the way!)
2. Difficult cards - 5, 7, 8.
3. Everything else.
So, I'll start from the top and fill in going down. The book Chris mentioned above has a V character, as well as an I character. So instead of the 9 in hand 1, it'll probably get put in for the 7 or 5 in hand 2. But it also works for Reverse, because Jackie has read it, so if we're short of Reverses near the end of the month it might get moved.

I can edit it and my name and the book is there but it then has random stuff like 'a character named Islington' which doesn't fit for '9'.
Shall I delete all the other stuff and put in my reasons for reading it?

Chris, I grabbed all that info from the book’s Goodreads page. As per my above comment, we want as much info as possible to remain flexible.
That’s fine although the previous comment wasn’t there when I posted so I was unaware that we had to put down all the info the book fills. I’m not sure how you can say who the characters are if you haven’t read the book anyway. I’ll just let you know what book I’m reading for next time. It’s easier.
Plus, I don’t like knowing who the characters are before I’ve read the book. It spoils it for me.

I know that but as I said I don’t want to know who is in it and what the story is about otherwise there’ll be no point in reading it. As I’ve said I’ll just let you know what I’m reading and you can let me know whether I can read that or not.
You can read anything. And you don’t have to fill in all the characters before you read it. Just after you read it put them in so we can be flexible.

Okay, ill read “wundersmith” by Jessica Townsend (2). It’s a red cover. It takes place in Nevermoor (9). Characters: Francis/Fen (4), Kedge (skip), Ezra Squall (8 or 6)
I moved Chris's first book to Feb, it was listed under April. I also added the first three books I plan to get to not counting my two color books which I will be trying to read first!

I, personally, won't be adding my books to the spreadsheet until after I read them (until we get to the mini-challenge). I just take note of the characters as I read, since many of my reads are independently/self-published and don't have much info on Goodreads. I just used your book as a sample because it had so many characters that it fits just about anywhere!

You haven't. Don't worry. Thinking about it, it actually makes sense to do it before you read so that others can see what needs or doesn't need to be done/read as you said. I don't think it's going to spoil a book that much. I'm a team player so it's all good :-)))))
Like Laura, I'll probably wait until I've finished a book to add it to the spreadsheet, at least at first.

Haha, Laura. You know me well already! That, plus it is in my favourite genre of historical fiction but I guess I’m not into the Danish/Viking invading England era. You learn something new everyday! In case anyone is interested it is Bernard Cornwell’s The Last Kingdom. It really just isn’t my thing at all!
Yes, I have two physical and an audiobook I am working on finishing up so that I can start fresh with only books that count on the 1st. Very excited to play with everyone.
Just finishing up the last hour of my audio right now. Hoping to get through 2 ebooks today!
I’m twiddling my thumbs waiting for tomorrow now. I have finally finished that book! Yay!
I have an audio and an ebook to finish today. I'm not going to start anything else until this challenge starts.
I am almost done with my audiobook, ebook, and real life book so I will be all ready to go tomorrow!!
Hey Team, It is officially time! Hope everybody starts off with a good book! I'm still finishing one up from last month but I have 7 hours left of my night shift and it's not too busy so I should at least start my first UNO book!

They usually put together a spreadsheet for that sometime in the first month.

If you put them on the spreadsheet, you don’t need to post here. But if you’re not comfortable putting them on the spreadsheet, feel free to post here. But you don’t need to do both.
I plugged Jackie's completed book into the first available 8 card since those are considered harder to fill! We can move later if need be.

Something to keep in mind, though. Some captains update daily, some update weekly. Some captains don't put in points until the hand is completed; some put them in right away. So the numbers might not be accurate until nearer to the end of the month. I try to update daily, or whenever I finish a book. I also put in points right away.
Hey team, hope everybody is having happy reading. I am working on my first color book on audio during my drives, I have a long drive tm so should knock a good bit of it out. We are off to a great start!
I'm working on updating our spreadsheet right now. As I sit in a not-so-great motel because the wind is blowing so hard here it took down a 60 foot pine tree from our front yard onto our neighbor's roof, taking our power out with it!Anyway, if my kids don't drive me crazy I'll get a bunch of reading down the next few days!

My luck is as bad as yours, Laura. My bank account was hacked and I have lost £4,000! They also tried to claim that my phone was theirs and that it had been lost so they have been trying to claim insurance on it! I have had great fun running around to banks and ringing phone companies all day. Anyway, the book is coming along nicely. Nearly halfway through 😂😂😂.

I had my stuff hacked last year and it was such a mess to clean up.
