I've had a doubt for a long time that haunts me and maybe you can help me. In 1994 a friend of mine lent me a science fiction book that began by narrating the inexplicable deaths of some women who had performed some gynaecological examinations. The plot went on to tell about an AI capable of reprocessing DNA and creating new deadly biological machines. A lot of time has passed, the memories are a little confused, but I perfectly remember that Benoît Mandelbrot and the fractals were also involved... someone remembers having read a book like this, can you help me?
