Rust and Bone

De rouille et d'os (2012) takes inspiration from two stories in this collection by Craig Davidson, Rust and Bone and Rocket Ride. You should thus read only those two stories for this discussion, but not necessarily, as the movie deviates quite a bit from the stories. The movie is R-rated for various reasons that you can check on IMDB Parents Guide section. I believe the stories are equally gritty and dark. I might say then, proceed with caution, if you do not like this kind of fiction, but I heard the stories are really good, and I found the movie overall good even though it was too intense and too graphic for my tastes.
