Wisp of a Thing is the second book in the Tufa series by Alex Bledsoe. In this book, Rob Quillen, winner of So You Think You Can See, is trying to find relief from his grief after a personal tragedy. A mysterious man tells him the answer to his problem can be found through a song that he will find in Cloud County in Appalachia. Rob goes to the town searching for peace, but things are not what they seem and Rob may be put in the middle of an ancient conflict between powerful sides. I liked this book. I really liked the world that Bledsoe created. I like how "normal" the Tufa seem despite their paranormal qualities. The atmosphere of the book works really well. There were a couple of plot points in this story that I had a hard time buying, but overall I enjoy this series and look forward to the next one.
