26. The Lovely Bones - This was alright. I saw the movie a few years ago and found it underwhelming. I guess I feel the same way about the book.

28. The Crucible - So, I was supposed to read this in high school, but my teacher decided we were just going to read it on our own time and watch the movie instead. Of course which meant I didn't read it. And as for the movie, I slept through the movie instead of watching it. So, a long overdue read, I'd say. I probably wouldn't have appreciated this book in high school as I did now anyways.
I'm relating to you Chase, I'm filling some of my high school gaps nowadays. I also agree by personal experience that some books are wasted on the young :-)
Gone with the Wind - I devoured this book. Loved everything about it. 5 stars and I am adding this to my favorites list.
32. The Secret History by Donna Tartt - I found this one a bit slow and dull. The book hit its climax at around page 200, which left it slogging around the last 300 pages.
33. The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks - A quick graphic novel for my pinterest challenge. It made me actually semi-curious to read the actual book if anything, so I guess it went well.
34. All My Friends Are Dead - A silly little book that I picked up at the store.35. A Streetcar Named Desire - I wasn't sure I understood the entirety of this play. It's quite the depressing ending though.
36. Memoirs of a Geisha - I was a bit disappointed by this one. I felt like the biggest appeal to the story was Golden's descriptions of all the pretty kimonos that the geishas wore. After that, the story felt rather flat.
A Tale of Two Cities - I had a really difficult time with the beginning of this book, but was able to get really into it by the end.
38. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - A reread actually, but I want to take some time this year to read the next books in the series which I don't think I've ever read.39. The Westing Game - This is about as close to taking place in my "hometown" as I'm getting. It was cute.
Dorothy Must Die - This one suffered from a slow storyline but a rushed ending. Paige also managed to throw in some instant romance in the storyline. My biggest issue though was that I really couldn't care less for the main character. The obnoxiously sarcastic, unpolished female hero character is overdone.
43. The Complete Fairy Tales and Stories - Whew. Finally finished this one. It's been on my bookshelf for years.
45. Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit - This was an interesting, enlightening story but I thought some of the fairy tale metaphors were a bit weak.
47. A Passage to India - The beginning felt slow, it picked up in the middle and was interesting, but then the end felt slow again.
49. The Paper Magician - A short one. Not great, but good enough that I might read the next two books.
50. The Golden Notebook - I just couldn't like this one no matter how much I tried. I slogged my way through it.
51. The Bad Beginning - I've never read the Lemony Snicket books so I figured I'd try the 1st book out. It's a nice boost to my reading this month since I can finish them in an hour or two. Obviously written for children, but very, very cute.52. The Reptile Room - (2nd book in the Lemony Snicket series) Very similar to the 1st.
53. The Almost Moon - Well, I read this for my "Book with bad reviews" book in the 50 book challenge, so I wasn't expecting anything glamorous with this one. It's not good, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. I think it really suffers mostly from depressing plot line more than anything.
Yes, I will admit it was my least favorite of the books in the Women Authors challenge, but i did make my way through it. I think the individual notebook stories were interesting, it just didn't tie together well enough for me.
54. The Bell Jar - I am at a loss of what to say for this one. It's a fascinating exploration of depression.
55. Seriously... I'm Kidding - I loveeeee Ellen so much, but one thing I always find to be an issue with this style of book is that it always comes off as a bit of rambling.
56. Confessions of an English Opium-Eater & Other Writings - A bit dry and rambling for my taste. There are some interesting bits of story but overall it just wasn't a subject that I could get into.
57. The Book of Speculation - I picked this out because I heard that fans of the Night Circus will love this one. It's true.
58. Reconstructing Amelia - This one started out intriguing, but its own ridiculousness causes it to fizzle out a lot. Everyone behaves unbelievably and nobody in the book seemed to think their actions through. Also, the comparison to Gone Girl? No.
59. Castle Rackrent - Some interesting information about the history of England and Ireland during the time, but overall just an okay read.
60. Under the Dome - Very large. Pretty decent. I had problems with the timing of the book and with the ending.
62. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - Better than Prince Caspian. Definitely one of the strongest in this series so far.
63. For a Few Demons More - Eh, I don't read this series because it's anything amazing. This one is on par with the others.
66. The Time Traveler's Wife - I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. I liked it, but there were quite a few oversights by the author I noticed in this book. Finally finished my Top 20 Books Written by Women Challenge!
67. Ready Player One - I am definitely in the minority here, but I didn't love this book as much as I was hoping.
