This is one of the most intriguing books I have read so far this school year. It is definitely a page turner. The main character Nick brings is a teenage boy that goes to a private school. Nick has everything: name brand clothes, high class apartment, wealthy friends. Although everything seems picture perfect, it’s far from it. Underneath his perfect life there lies a gang world filled with drugs, graffiti, fights, drinking, parties and Nick has simply had enough. He is in love with his best friend Kris who is oblivious to this matter. He is also good friends with her little brother, Danny. Danny is a rebel himself which adds more conflict to this book, which you will discover when you read it. This book will make you feel many emotions: sympathy, love, anger, happiness, relief, enthusiasm, etc. You will never know what will happen next in this book, and that’s what attracts me towards the novel! I would suggest the reader of this book to be very open minded and on their toes throughout the book! Like I said, you never know what you’re going to expect and that is the interesting part of it all. If you are fascinated with crime, suspense, and if tragedy draws your attention, this is the book for you.
