The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao
question
What is so wondrous about the life of Oscar Wao?

He has a miserable childhood and an equally miserable time at college. He attempts suicide, never gets anything published, is beaten to a pulp and (spoiler alert!) is executed in a cane-field. What is so wondrous about Oscar's life?
His life has a sense of wonder and awe; he's a poor loser but his sees awesomeness everywhere. His life was hard but, for him, worthy.

His life is wondrous because of his amount of experience. He's gone through heart ache, embarrassment, and loneliness and he wasn't chained down to the thought of being restrained forever. What makes him and his life so wondrous is his motivation to recognize his self in this world and take initiative for his own wondrous life. The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao
