March is on, PI's. I'll host, you pick. As there are several I like, I can't pick just one so you lot can post a few AC's that you'd like to discuss. Maybe leave Christmas themes for winter months and desert digs are not a fave. Everything else is great.

Sounds good to me, Tina! I think Mark is out this month. Do you prefer Poirot or Marple - you choose between the two and we'll post suggestions, how's that?

Thanks for allowing me an opt-out for the month! I had my first Christie class yesterday and it went VERY well! My golden age mystery writers class starts Thursday, and I'll keep you posted on that. Busy, busy time.

Please do! :-)
I'll join in for the discussion as I've read this multiple times! (Still working on other reading for my class!)
Found this in one of many e-newsletters I'm trying to wade through...
As March is having to be a late start, there might be something new and fresh in this collection. Also, something for a future read? See what ya think.

Is there another choice 'sides Dumb Witness? (Is this the Poirot w/the dog? Just askin'). Thanks.

You're right, I did, NicoleG. How about someone else hosting Dumb Witness. Not a favorite, sorry. I'm having a hard time getting interested in book things lately. How 'bout I sit out March this year? You lot seem fine. Just need some time out, I guess. If moved, I'll jump in. :-(

Tina, what are you leaning towards? I think we're pretty flexible! I'll read anything, lol!
If it is a Christie, I will join in, since I've already read them all. By the way, both the Christie and the Golden Age Mystery classes I'm teaching started out really well!

I can host if you'd like and you can do next month. I'll be listening to the book (Hooray for Hugh Fraser!!!), so I'll post the first block this weekend, will this be okay?

So glad to hear this, Mark! What books did you choose for your classes to start with?
Nicole: No required reading for the class. There really isn't enough time between sessions to read a novel. On the other hand, throughout the class, I make recommendations of books to start with, if they aren't familiar with Christie.
For my Golden Age Mystery class, I go over lots of other authors and make recommendations, including anthologies of short stories so they can get a taste of a number of different authors.

Very disappointing news about my two classes. ALL of the classes in this group were cancelled effective immediately last night, due to the belief that the university where they are held is ripe for a corona virus siege. Rats--I've spend hours planning and preparing. Oh, well, the Golden Age Mystery class is scheduled for a repeat beginning the end of June. Hopefully, corona will be gone by then.

By the way, you could always use us as your class guinea pigs, Mark! ;-)

Sorry to hear that, Pghfan, but it's all hands on deck now. Better to stay away from crowds 'til this thing passes. Then I hear it can be an ongoing malady. Like it can resurface later down the line. What evil has been unleashed on our world?!
I was to get a film and movie maker gathering going at our local high school night classes but I think it'll have to wait 'til fall. Have to see how it all goes. Stay well.

PI's, checking in to see if all is well with you lot. Being in the high risk group (age and underlying instances), I'm trying to stay ahead of this thing. Not much in a reading mood but will pop in if I can remove myself from this funk long enough to read or watch the video. Thanks for pulling together at this tough time in our lives and in history. Hopefully, we'll all come out well on the other side of this catastrophe. Stay many steps ahead of this thing, PI's!
Many, many things closed and/or cancelled here in Pittsburgh. I am probably of the "age to be concerned", but I am doing what is recommended to stay safe. We'll just have to wait and see how this works out.
